Thanks for that detailed answer. It's very much appreciated. I will start with checking the wires in the harness for a bad connection. Hopefully that's all it is. Otherwise, I'll go through the steps you described.
Thanks again ?
Does anyone know which wire in the harness on the fan clutch harness has to do do with the AC?
I'm going to open it up but I'd like to know what I'm looking for
It was on all the time. Truck sounded like a garage truck 100% of the time. I figured it was just a burnt fan clutch joy had it replaced and then discovered the wiring harness was chewed up and the wires in it were afraid. When I replaced the wires it seemed to run normal. But now with this AC...
Hi Ranger family,
I have a 2019 ranger XLT.
I'm in construction and my truck is on most of the days here in Florida. I'll get out of my truck and leave it running for a while while I'm checking on a house. Recently, on really hot days I'm noticing when I return to the truck the air is blowing...
Mine turned out to be the AC condensation. I was able to find it after exhausting every other avenue. After seeing the complex repair it would've taken to get this fixed I decided to deal with it my own way. I isolated where the water was dripping down and created a barrier on both sides, spray...
So I found that it is my ac dripping into the floorboard. Coming down from behind the center hump on the driver's side. I drove for roughly 30 minutes with the AC on max and the floor was soaked. I pulled up the carpet tried it out Randy AC again and literally watched it run down the side of...
I'm going through something very similar. Was it the actual back window or the driver side rear window seal. Trying to pinpoint things to look at to figure out where this leak is coming from. Because my front driver side carpet gets wet and i have no idea where the water is coming from.
I will definitely try to remove them and see what's going on underneath.
Thanks for all your help and responses. I really appreciate it. I'll let you know how it goes.
Yes I did see that video. I don't think it's the AC because I also put some dry paper towels under the carpet pad up by the rear of the center console to test to see if it got wet with the AC on full blast for a while and it was bone dry and water was dripping down under the truck. I'm trying...
Carfax is clean. I bought it with no warranty from the dealer so they sold its as is. I'll try pulling the cowling and see if I see anything but I used a hose on the the windshield and cowling and nothing came in. I did use my wiper spray alot today and noticed that they were not spraying...
Hey everyone. About a month ago I bought a 2019 ranger from a Ford dealership as is. I didn't discover until I went to car wash at the driver's side floor mat and carpeting was soaked. I tried it all out and was hoping that maybe it was a spill while they were detailing the car.
Once it was...
I have the same leak in my 2019 ranger. D/s floor soaked. I watered down my whole truck and can't find the leak. I Don't think it's the AC because I see water dripping down when the AC is on. Anyone else have any recommendations for me to explore?
Hey Mark
I have the same issue with water on my driver's side floor. Sprayed down truck and can't find the leak. I was wondering about my windshield also because the edge looks strange. How did you end up fixing your leak?
Here's a better, cheaper, easier way to do it. It's actually totally free. There's a plug on the ground terminal. Unplug it. It doesn't affect anything else. Here's the video. Skip to 6:20 to get to the actual trick. I luckily came across this video before I spent money on something we...
The clutch fan that we installed came from a 2020 ranger with low miles. Didn't have the tube with it so I made one. I will check the harness today and see if I can find someone with a scanner to check if there are any codes. But there hasn't been a CEL on at all, could there still be codes...
Hey all,
I have a 2019 ranger with a locked in fan clutch. I also found the wiring harness for the fan clutch all chewed up along with its tube. I was able to replace the wires together and put a makeshift tube back in place after I replaced the fan clutch. There is no change and my fan still...
