This response from @Fitzmotor offers an awful lot more than just some friendly advice. It reveals his dedication to this community and to the ideals of improving our trucks in any way that he possibly can - even to the point of taking the time to offer detailed preventative troubleshooting technical advice on a competing product, complete with offers to correct that product's shortcomings with his own parts.

It gets said a lot around here, but with good reason: Mike is a fantastic guy with an incredible product. If you have been on the fence about picking up one of his sticks, what are you waiting for?

Hey, it's okay, it will do the job for you, do be aware that the green O ring on his transmission fitting, is sort of a cheap Chinese ORB type fitting, it needs a large enough chamfer to fit the O ring, or it needs a proper ORB machined hole to thread it into.

Just do this, when you tighten the fitting into the trans, make sure it bottoms out, if it feels squishy, the O ring is being mashed, that transmission case is designed for a flat seal, even though the Ford cap has a green rubber seal, it is a flat surface seal.

I would torque it up, then remove it and inspect the O ring, if it is fine, torque it back up and leave it, if it looks squished, you will need a flat sealing washer, heck, I'll even send you one.

The second thing to check, his fitting is close to the A/C line, there is a simple way to adjust back the line, you can message me if you think it's close, I will forward you the steps to adjust it out of harms way, you can video the movement of the engine, switch from drive to reverse, plant the brake and give it some throttle, the engine moves quite a bit.

Otherwise you will be fine, and of course if you are unhappy in any way, I will be able to sell you one soon, actually, you can make his work, it's just what you are comfortable with.

Not sure about the deleted post, I guess he got banned, so would have I if I did not become a sponsor, the people who pay the bills around here have rules for a reason.

Good luck, if you have any questions, I'm sure Bryan can help, if not, feel free to hit me up!

to all the trans plant was a success.... dip stick work flawless easy install, and new deep pan was also a sorta no problem install .. one thing to remember is the 2 front corner bolts that you have to go thru frame to remove will fit and fall in the frame ...... .. and almost 9 quarts with the deep pan ..

Well, as stoked as I was yesterday about forming 20 hoses....

The blower failed this morning, which is not a surprise as it was a swap meet special, so I didn't make a single one of them, so I had to go get a new blower, plus I decided to mount it under the bench and make a duct, instead of in front of the bench like it was before, so in the long run it will work better, and the new fan is really quiet and moves more air.
What do you use the blower for?

Hey everyone,

Just as a heads up, if you are interested please post it up here, the voting list is not a list, it is a pool of names, the poll program reshuffles it.

The good news is I'm working on a large batch, my target is over 100 of them, depending upon how many get scrapped, (2 so far out of 30) I had fittings to make 115, and I may get more fittings before run out.

I plan on stockpiling them and launching the website, if all goes to plan I will just post up a link and maybe try to message everyone as well.

Thanks!

Good question, just to cool down the heat shrink, sometimes here when the temps are up near 100 degrees, they wont cool down for 20 minutes or more, this time of year is not so bad, but I have to be efficient making them, it takes a long time as it is even cooling them.

Got ya, I'm paying attention, thanks for your interest?

I'm up to 35 of them boxed and piled up just waiting printed instructions, pushing to get the full 100+ done before I launch the website.

I'm also in the middle of the patent process, if I go through with it, I really want it done before the website goes up (super duper special thanks to Grumpaw on that, his son is a high level patent atty and totally helped me to understand that complicated process, thank you tenfold Grumpaw) his son has informed about how really specific I have to be, which means I have to give up my forming process to the public, not sure I really want to do that, I could do like Tesla, no patents, let them try to reverse engineer it  it's so complicated, they probably would never get it right. (I hope)

I have said it before... The support here has made such a difference!

I have been slowed by a miniature problem in the shop

So I put her to work in the shipping dept, you might see a few chew marks in the box though!

The good news is she puts up with all the shop noise!

Now that you have a new helper, maybe the manufacturing process will go a bit faster !!!
Of course, you may have to stop more often for "treat breaks" and "pottie breaks"
