Has anyone re-aimed head lights after a lift of 3" to level truck??

I was told by the shop doing the wok they have not had any issues with not re-aiming. I do not have a level spot in my driveway to do it my self and using the back wall of the garage will not work either.

FWIW, Before I did a 1" level on my Tremor I marked a spot on the driveway about 25' from the garage door and where the headlights hit the garage door. After the level I checked again and the lights were about 1-2" high. Since it is so easy to adjust the lights I brought them back down to where they were.

You will get flashed less at Mardi Gras.

Re-aim them - takes about 10 mins - instructions are in the manual p. 266. It will likely take you longer to set up the reference line along a wall or garage door than to do the actual aiming.

Consider re-aiming your fog lamps too.

Find a local place where you can aim at the wall and be on flat ground. After that re aim the lights. You will help others by not blinding them at all

Yes super easy to do and very necessary. My headlights were a fair amount too high after a +3/+1" Eibach lift. Found a nice parking garage to readjust the aim and also did my DD SS3 fogs at the same time.

FWIW, my fog lights were aimed so low you couldn't even see where they hit the road from the seat in my Tremor. I left them alone.

FYI, every Ford product I have purchased (5 in the past 10 yrs) have had the fogs adjusted to low.

I had to re-align mine after 3.5 inch lift as well. My drive is not level but I used a painters tape about 2 inch wide and mark the top of the brightes spot of the light and adjust down the bottom of the tape. The truck was about 7 feet away from the garage door and it works.

You will need to adjust them. Especially if its the halogen lamps, you will notice on darker roads that your light output seems like 100% crap because they are too high.

After my leveling kit, my low beams were about high beam level. Made driving at night terrible until I aligned em

Its quick and simple to do. I see a lot of guys posted instructions on how to do it. I recommend adjusting your fogs as well. Might need to drop your front skid plate to do it (much more room to work if you do).

FWIW, I had to level them again after I put my winch in/raised my coils to compensate for the additional weight and also installed my Alpharex lamps and Diode fogs because drop in LEDs in both were TERRIBLE even when aimed

I re-aim mine twice a year; in the spring when camping season starts and the fall when it ends. I have strips of tape on the back wall of the garage at the appropriate heights. Takes less than 5 minutes.

I understand all of the words. Just doesn't appear to be very helpful for someone that is seeking information to cure their issue.

"After that re aim the lights"

Not too helpful if you don't know what you're doing. Maybe give a distance to be from the wall and an approximate amount to lower the aim depending on the amount of lift?

I did mine once after a 2" front level. I was about 25' from the wall...made a mark...adjusted/aimed about 2" below the mark.
Didn't get flashed again and personally felt like I could see as far as I needed to just fine.

If you adjust them down just a little like that and still get flashed, go a little further til you don't get flashed anymore.

Problem solved.

Exactly what I did and I have not been flashed at night :)
