#33 Installed the today thanks Mike for the great product can’t wait for updated stick.

I could not go from the bottom because I have an ARB aftermarket skid plate.

I went through the passenger wheel well 1st the cap is easy to see once you remove the plastic flap like others have stated. It was still too hard to break it loose from the wheel well so I decided to go from the top using

19 mm 12 point deep socket 1/2” drive

1/2” Swivel

3”+6”+8”extension+10”wobble extension last so 27” total.

With 18” 1/2” drive breaker bar

But having plastic flap removed helps a lot to line up socket and clean area around stock cap. And install all new hardware

Once I was able to break it loose it was still difficult just had to position the breaker bar in the best spot to make it work. Might have been better if I had a little more extensions maybe 6”. It was still hard to break loose with breaker bar. After I got it broken free, it was easy to hand, loosen with the extensions as seen in the video.

After comparing fluid levels from stock stick to Fitzstick they were spot on.

All I have to do is set the length on the new dipstick and send it out when they come in.

Just as a heads up, PPE pans are on sale for $259 (raw finish) a couple places. This price is using the code DIESEL20R (credit to @MountainGoat from a trans pan thread for the code) on xtremediesel.com. I think the finished options add $15ish per step up and the deep pans are the on the same pricing scheme.

Just when I thought I was down to only "two" more large purchases for the Ranger ?

Glad to say I did make the payment for a Fitz stick not long ago. I expected to be way farther down the list, so pleasantly surprised to see a message while I was out of town last weekend. Can't wait for my early Christmas present and the game of "How hard has my transmission cap been tightened?"!
