Yay! Yes they got over a foot on top. Skis get waxed at end of season for storage so only have to remove excess and prep for slopes.

I do my own ski maintenance and have an old school hot waxer. I use one like this.

My idea of old school waxing involves my brother with our mom’s clothes iron and a lot of yelling. I never waxed my skis back then. They were way too long and heavy but they were on sale and all we could afford. I didn’t care and still flew down the hills like I was Spider Sabich. ?

Today, my honey do list was short and I put on the Bushwhacker door sill guards and the MBS @Fitzmotor transmission dip stick. Both took about the same amount of time/number of beers (2 total - don't judge me). It was a nice sunny and warm day.?

Guess you need to source the smoked side mirror smoked lenses and fender turn signals now. ?
Yes! Those are my last two mods to darken the truck. Any quality sites you know of to get those two items?

I think I shopped AliExpress, Amazon and Temu. So much stuff comes out all the time it's tough to recommend any single.

I replaced my puddle lamps under the side mirrors and noticed some of the LEDs in the arrays have failed so I'll be searching for replacements. Since Ford has switched from incandescent to LED I may get some FoMoCo ones.

Was troubleshooting my third brake light. After installing the ford trailer brake controller a few weeks ago, yesterday I realized it was out completely. Also while towing yesterday the power for the TBC was going on and off.

Determined it is a loose connection at the light. The connector supplied in the kit is loose and when wiggled it comes back on but won’t make great connection. Debating on soldering it all together, but then it will be a pain to replace in the future so toying with that idea as well.

Really only saw the mishimoto one, but if anyone has a recommendation on one that would be appreciated. Maybe one with a camera and bright LEDS.

Also is there a way to make the light stay on after pressing the light in the cab? Only lasts a few moments it seems.

Looks like the pins/sockets are not seated all the way in the connector. You should not be able to see the metal that is exposed in your picture. That is a short waiting to happen. Could be why the connector is not making good contact. I have heard they are a pain to get seated properly.

I'll Echo what @Big Blue said, those pins are not properly seating in the plug, disconnect it and try again.

Full transmission service this morning; flush, fluid and filter. Maybe a tad overdue at 62k but I'm glad I got it done. Used my pass points so even better it was free.

As @ControlNode and @Big Blue said. Disconnect the connector. You may need to pull the pins out and turn them 180 degrees and push the pins back in. They'll only seat one way. You can use a pick or small flat blade screwdriver to gently push on the pins to seat them. You shouldn't have any of the metal pin extending past the end of the plastic connector. Give an easy tug on the wire to make sure it is seated correctly in the connector. If it's properly inserted it shouldn't pull out.
