I’m pretty happy with it! Can’t wait to get a revised tune so I can step into it!
Try this video, this is in drive without flooring it. Starting to drizzle. I’m not sharing the mph on this one. ?

I honestly cannot hear the whistle! Old ears, lol. Truck sound nice though and your shifting sounds very clean no slipping! Have you done mods on the tranny or is it stock? Does your tune change shifting patters? Shifting sounds much better than mine.

Dashcam doesn’t portray the sound easily. That was 70 percent throttle in regular drive mode. My tune has shifting changes as well as engine changes. No physical modifications were done to the transmission though.

Update, we went back on the dyno and promptly maxed out the fuel injectors!
we had to back it down for safety but ended up making good power. The graph shows stock turbo on e30 then upgraded turboe30 on the same tune and finally upgraded turbo e30 and retuned but running out of injector. I’m super happy with it and am currently working on a solution to my fuel delivery situation.

the guy who swapped the turbo..is the engine stock? Also, how much difference in engine performance is there between 2019 and 2022 rangers?

I’m sure there are minor changes but the engine is the same from 19-23.
My truck is full bolt on but my engine is completely untouched and still stock.
The current modifications are;
4”hot air intake and 3.5” turbo inlet (Revolution automotive)
Intercooler and pipes (Mishimoto)
3” downpipe and full exhaust (Revolution automotive)
Dual valve catch can with CSS and billet valves (UPR)
Closed diverter valve BOV (Turbosmart)
57mm compressor wheel turbo (Fast Mavericks/Comp)
E30 fuel and dyno tuned by Revolution automotive
It’s also got suspension and tires etc..

That looks like some impressive numbers and considering it's just bolt ons I can't imagine someone being unhappy with it. Those power curves are pretty linear.

It's always fun to watch someone else try to max out stuff though.

You might be a candidate for the vented oil cap baffle if a decent one is developed - that doesn't expell oil mist all over.

Better start saving up for a transmission upgrade eventually ?

So I put my Fast Mavericks upgraded turbo on this evening. Definitely a different driving experience than before. It is really strong and I haven’t even floored it yet. It makes a lot of turbo noises too, especially with my intake on it. Gotta look at data tomorrow and see about a tune revision then we’re flooring it and more data. Hopefully dyno very soon. Currently on E30. The install was straightforward and took me about two hours while taking pictures along the way. I never even jacked it up.

does the turbo lessen the gas millage or did these mods improve it? Or are you too busy hammering the gas to care? XD

I’m getting about 21-22mpg on a trip not even trying. Normal driving seems to be around 18-20. It’s down from the extra ethanol but it seems to be up a little from the turbo.

yea mine gets around 20 i think stock, seems to suck gas towing the 18' trailer around. I do get the sluggish takeoff and sometimes the hard gear when I fire it up in the 40's and go to back out of the driveway but otherwise I don't have many complaints. only that the fuel doom arm cracked and fell off and they didn't wanna fix it under warranty. I probably wont mod mine unless a part goes bad or the warranty is off because i don't wanna void it. I've heard rumors the engines and trans dont have a very long life in these new ones. I got a felling i wont be seeing 240k miles and 22 years like my old ranger.

Those are pretty crappy numbers considering it a “Better Turbo” ..

Here’s a stock ranger with an unleashed tune ..Note the torque ..

IMG_0041.jpeg
the torque is purposely reduced down low to keep the rods inside the block. The horsepower as noted is dramatically reduced due to injector limitations. I have no intentions of allowing more than 400lbs/ft. More torque is way harder on the engine than more horsepower. In the end it should wind having gained about 30-50hp depending how brave we get with it but I need more fuel first before going further. For now it has 400rpm and well over 20hp detuned from it until we get injectors.

also note that your dyno graph is in std correction factor while mine is in sae…. If I switched my graph to std correction it would show around 10+ more horsepower.
