Just placed my first order with rock auto. ?

Ordered 2 Motorcraft Oil Filters. With the strike going on, not sure it will affect the parts side but I got paranoid.
I went to (4) auto stores after work and no 910S available, in fact most Motorcraft filters are sold out!
I did pick up a Purolator Boss though.

Anyone have bad experiences with rock auto?

I have used Rock Auto with good success.

Edit:
I have used WIX filters in many different vehicles I have owned and believe they are top notch.

Been using them for years. The only online vendor (that doesn't have a brick-and-mortar storefront) that I trust for ordering spark plugs from.

Another thumbs up for Rockauto - been ordering from them for years - never had to return anything.

Rock Auto:like:, ditto only online source I use, if not Ford or local Parts store.
Great Prices and fast shipping, and they usually have the hard to locate parts as well.

I've used them for years. Only problems I've had were with electrical parts. Well never buy those from there again. But filters and fluid always. Just not window switches. New ac/delco switch 2 defects in a row. Told me it was my truck refunded. Bought a new switch from Amazon and 2 year's later it still works. And yes it was an ac/delco for a chevy truck.

Nope.

But I guess my only mild complaint is they like to use way too much bubble wrap and packing tape.

2 sheets of bubble wrap per 1qrt of oil, each taped top to bottom.
every 3 bottles gets yet another tightly taped sheet of bubble wrap.

then for all 6 bottles, yet again 2 layers of bubble wrap sheets top and bottom, all around. taped... All 6 lids are also tightly taped closed.

Come the f*** on Rockauto lol...

Have used Rock Auto for many years without a problem. Great selection with hard to find parts. Fast processing and shipping.

Lol, but if they didn't, you'd be complaining about a broken bottle of oil everywhere. I'll take overpacked and secure. I've had enough stuff show up barely hanging in there. My Bilsteins almost didn't make it to me, the outer and inner boxes were completely blown open and the shocks could have jut fallen right out.

Yeah but that would be on Fedex.
Like I said, mild complaint if any.

the bubble wrap ended up being my butt cushion anyway.

I thought about Wix…I watch a lot of Vice Grip Garage ?
NAPA Gold is a Wix filter and easier to find.
If you can't find an FL-910S, the Motorcraft FL-400S will fit. It's a little longer and the bypass spring is a little stronger but that's not a bad thing.
NAPA Gold/Wix, Mobil 1, K&N, and Walmart Supertech are all perfectly fine filters.
I might switch to K&N permanently for the 1" nut that's welded on the end, be easier to get it off than with the claw-type filter wrench.
