As I get deprogrammed from my AzScorpion brainwashing, and run out of things to buy for Soupie (and run low on payload from said purchases), I'm getting more and more fringe on what I buy for the Ranger.

It's a hard habit to break ... =(

Last week I picked up that Model T Ford wrench and it's a nifty desk toy and I love the history. But to balance out the old, I bought what is supposed to be a highly-rated crescent wrench. I already have a nice set of Crescent brand wrenches in Soupie's on-board-and-likely-to-never-be-used tool kit but I could use another for my garage tool cart. I have lots of old crescents but many are rusty and need some TLC - a good project when I retire in a few years.

So I found this one and thought it would scratch that monkey-on-my-back habit and I'm mixed about it. First, it's not US-made (made in s Spain, how odd is that?). And secondly, it's kind of short. But the jaws are a little less thick that other ones I have and that's what I needed to tighten up my Brody knob (post on that suicide knob).

Apart from being a gimmick, it has inches and centimeters lasered on. I guess I could use it in my tackle box to measure very small catches!

it has 10mm? quick delete this post and hoard!

the extra wide jaw has the downside of having the worm screw sticking way out. looking at this pic I thought it had casting cracks in it but they're just shiny spots from being rubbed on

the mature adult in me appreciates the "WIDEAZZ" reference! =D
and Code Blue grips? No way, wow, I'll be the envy of the forum!

final thoughts

Worth it, no.

But it's already had a use and that's plenty to scratch this buy-stuff-for-the-Ranger itch! =p

Maybe I'll toss it in the center console to keep that third 10mm wrench company!

They are great, one of the reasons I did a tiled garage floor and have the Active 2.0 pressure washer.

It's inevitable that I get a Kranzle, but not today. =)

Pressure washers are so 2022 David - you need Dry Ice Ice Baby.

Did you check out the video on Dry Ice Cleaning?

https://www.obsessedgarage.com/collections/dry-ice

?
No thanks, I worked with dry ice and liquid nitrogen for 11 years as a geochronologist.

The video is compelling but it's not actually cooling the surfaces to -110°. It's more akin to bead blasting with tiny CO2 crystals that instantly sublimate. And to say CO2 is non-toxic is when talking about it at normal concentrations. CO2 will absolutely asphyxiate you dead! (stone cold dead!) =p

I'll stick my to my non-toxic, non-abrasive water (ask the Grand Canyon about the veracity of the last bit). =D

Ordered the other day. Front and Back row seat covers. The Carhartt Precision Fit ones seemed pretty high in price. These were made by the same company and had similar specs for a lower price. Photo looked pretty similar. Both use Cordura.
Will see how they look when they show up.
Cordura Marathon Excel Custom Seat Covers - Covercraft
My Covercraft Marathon Cordura seat covers FINALLY shipped Tuesday after overshooting the original ship date by about a week. ETA is next Monday.

Do have a pic of yours?
I don't have any that are a good shot of it without the extension on the hitch.

I'll toss it on tomorrow morning and take a picture of it. ?

I’ve been considering some trail lights for a while. I have some Diode Dynamics already. I didn’t want to pay that kind of money again. Found a couple pair of Auxbeams that I was watching for deals on. Picked these up on Prime Day (less than the price in the pic). They arrived today.
Need to come up with a bracket to get these on the left and right sides of the grille.
