Ooh I can take this one since youre being a complete donut, manual shifting is what you do in S where you press the + to shift up a gear and the - to go down a gear, locking out gears is just that, locking them out. The transmission still shifts automatically, you cannot manually select the gear you are in you just prevent the transmission from using those gears. I completely understand wanting a plug and play solution that requires not continually pushing buttons, but mate be honest is spending thousands of dollars and completely voiding your warranty (if youve got any left) and potentially causing substantial damage and issues when you don't even offroad worth it? Personally I would take the 3 button presses. Also FWIW I am running 35's no regearing or anything and mine runs brilliantly Unless your tires are made from lead I doubt youre having issues. Also turbo lag is a thing so that is likely the lugging you feel. Then you explain what manual shifting is on an automatic. In case you missed a lot of the thread I'm not looking for a solution of "locking" gears constantly and unlocking them. Again not looking for your solution. GEAR SWAP is the subject of the thread. You're being obtuse.
