I've searched around and can't find a clear answer to this (feel free to link and shame if I missed a thread...)

Is there any chance of a 275/70/r17 fitting on a stock Tremor with no modifications?

The Toyo AT3s or BFG KO2s are only 32.2" for example, which is only slightly larger than some 265/70/r17s that run big.

I'm hoping at worst I'll have to remove the plastic on the front crashbar.

What is the purpose of these 'crash bars' that are in the way of a bigger tire? Looking at them on my 2023, they dont appear to be very substantial, and likely do next to nothing if you where to hit something. Why not just remove them entirely?

Great thread. I am trying to give my daughter the wheels off my bronco. Sounds like the tire size will work based on this thread. She has the 18" dynapros on her ranger right now. I did a bit of googling and it appears the lug pattern on the bronco and the ranger is the same. Anything I am not doing right here? She has to take the bronco wheels due to the rim size difference.

very slight difference in results when entering tire size into an online tire calculator vs the factory spec sheet, I'm assuming trust the manufacture spec sheet above all but just wanted to check with all the tire wizards. I realize these wont all fit without lift, im more concerned about getting accurate info on the tire sizing as I plan to do a lift to accommodate the choice I end up with

DISCOVERER ST MAXX LT255 /85 R16
Discoverer ST Maxx tire spec sheet 32.8"
Americas Tire specs say 32.8"
an online tire size calculator says 33.1"

DISCOVERER ST MAXX LT265 /75 R16
Discoverer ST Maxx tire spec sheet 32.1"
Americas Tire specs say 32.01"
an online tire size calculator says 31.6"

FALKENWILDPEAK A/T3W LT285 /75 R16
Falken size list 32.8"
Americas Tire specs say 32.83"
an online tire size calculator says 32.8"

Here's the summary I've cobbled together for 18" wheels, can anyone chime in on this?

285/65 R18 -- 32.6" x 11.2" -- rubs, lift required
275/65 R18 -- 32.1" x 10.8" -- maybe okay, lift or crash bar mod probably needed at full flex
285/60 R18 -- 31.5" x 11.2" -- unknown, haven't seen anyone try these
265/65 R18 -- 31.6" x 10.4" -- 100% okay stock, no rub
265/70 R17 -- 31.6" x 10.4" -- 100% okay stock, no rub
265/60 R18 -- 30.5" x 10.4" -- FX4 stock size
Ive just purchased a 2021 Ranger on 18 inch wheels. I want to fit slightly wider 285/60 R18, and would like to know if they will fit on stock wheels without any mods?
Does anyone know?

I'm interested in knowing how wide people have gone without issue. Has anyone tried to run 285/60R18 without lift or level? (same hight as 265/65 R18)
Did you ever find out about this or fit this size?
I am looking to do this but I'm struggling to find an answer!

Thank you to everyone for the advice - went ahead and update my tires to BF Goodrich K02 265/70R17 - Really love the look and added height.

So what/how much did you have to cut, bend and remove?
because I don't think anyone can get a more perfect look, this is the size I'm gonna cram on my tuck from just seeing yours lol

I fitted Yokohama Geolander GO15 285/60r18, standard wheels. Went on no problem.
I'm looking into tires as well, can you post a picture? any rub? and did you lift at all? I just have a level kit on my 23

I removed the crash bars, cut the brackets, stretched and trimmed the fender liners and bent the core support.

I no longer have those tires though. I now have 285/60/18 and they don’t hit anything at all and are so much lighter.

Those look really good also, I'm really fond of tires that fill the wheel well a lot.
I put the 2.5" leveling kit on my truck, I've just been trying to find a good fitting tire setup that I at least don't have to, uh bent the core support lol
