One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure!!Everything on that truck is garbage.
That's rough dude. Real rough. Glad you've got a solution on the way. I'd consider maybe holding off on that Decked system a bit more maybe though. That helper might put you right were you wanna be. The decked all loaded up might put you right back here again.
Okay. You might be a real person.I had the Hellwigs for a second (their PR guy is a friend and forced them on me), they really reduce articulation, you won't have clearance for them below your bump stops, and they won't correct your spring rate or improper proportion of front to rear lift.
I'd just store the Decked till budget allows for the OMEs.
How involved is that install?![]()
the autospring corp leaf installed.

The switch to aluminum will more than make up for the weight of the solar I'd think. Probably come close to accounting for the Decked too.Good news, the decked is merely going to shift items I would normally keep in trunks on the roof into the bed for easier access, and to free up some roof for impending solar install. By the time solar comes I will have budgeted for a full leaf replacement.
The one year goal is I also plan to rebuild my roof platform using aluminum 80/20 - which will eliminate the very heavy steel strut channel.
Install seems straight forward, anything I should know?I'm running the autoleaf on mine and the ride is much stiffer, but it handles a load.
I have had no issues towing my boat (damn I miss my boat) and keeping my truck loaded with the gear I keep in it. I did have to move my weight to the nose of the bed to smooth out the ride over bumps though. The springy-ness of the rear would cause things to bounce inside of my bed. Heavy things.

Installation for me was simple as hell! HAHAHAHA I snagged the Auto-leaf stuff from a friend for $50, and it all came on his stock leaf springs. LOL, I just swapped the leaf packs over. But otherwise, the installation is pretty simple and straightforward.Install seems straight forward, anything I should know?
Also where are fender flare pics.
Oh man I did not think of those possible outcomes. I'm eager to see your handy work on custom stuff.Installation for me was simple as hell! As for the flares, there is a little hiccup, but I think you will like what's coming next. The ARB bumper interferes with the fronts of the front flares. The snorkel also interferes with the top of the passenger side front flare.
The plan is the clearance the flares to fit, and then cut and shape plastic to fill in the missing material on the flares. I will then finish them smooth and shoot them in truck-bed-liner. It will be OFC_Ranger style custom and clean!
Got any ideas of an appropriate plastic sheeting I can buy (preferably Amazon) that I can cut on a table saw heat with a heat-gun to form it around a curve?Oh man I did not think of those possible outcomes. I'm eager to see your handy work on custom stuff.
ABS plastic sheets, probably no thicker than 1/8 (might get away with using 1/16).Got any ideas of an appropriate plastic sheeting I can buy (preferably Amazon) that I can cut on a table saw heat with a heat-gun to form it around a curve?
not bad at all. the only part that takes a lot of time is getting the truck off the ground, supporting the axle independently. So if you have a lift and transmission jack or a few jack stands and good floor jacks that will work. the rest is as simple as it looks, unbolt the springs slap on the new one, use the new longer bolt and new nut that comes with the kit to reassemble. I have extra spring keepers on mine to keep things lined up. my truck came from the factory with issues, and a stack of shims on one side. so when i added new suspension it pulled off the "factory band aid" so mine required more adjustments and extra pains in the neck...How involved is that install?
I think it needs to be separated to look more polished and because the plastics will have different textures.ABS plastic sheets, probably no thicker than 1/8 (might get away with using 1/16).
Or don't use any at all. You might consider making the cuts on the fenders as precise as possible, leaving only the smallest of gaps, then use black silicon to just blend the pieces (like the snorkel and fender) together.
