Eegads!!! mulched leaf debris out the wazoo under the BedRug - ugh, any advice? Removing it fully would suck because the tie downs are mounted on top. BAH! =p

If a shop vac can't reach it perhaps try blowing it out with your air compressor. I'm sure you have a good one for your new tools. If there are pockets in the bed where you can fit a nozzle, I'm thinking just try to direct out the tailgate as much as you can. I'm picturing you using something like this so you can reach, (picture only for reference - tool of your choice.)

By the way - what air tools did you get for your birthday? I'm just asking because I like tools.

Installed the black/gray vinyl overlays on my steering wheel, tailgate and grille Ford Blue Ovals. I like the look much better. How long it will last I don’t know, but I like it.

First oil change....as usual....wanted to catch it at 5k.....but didn't happen until 6500....seems to be a consistent lag between thinking about doing something and actually getting it done....quit changing my own oil a while back....but decided to start doing it again since it doesn't require a floor jack to get under it.....not to mention I have never been a fan of pennzoil and that seems to be what most oiltenders are serving around here.

yeah, I'm worried about the tannic acid that leaves give off. They are dry now buy they get pretty wet during the year (I mean the bed gets wet and I assume it gets wet under the BedRug.

Funny, today while cleaning out the garage (I have the best vacation weeks ever) I was contemplating a spray-in liner with a a BedRug over it! Talk about overkill - or maybe not!

I do like that thing for my knees ...

Of course, the issue may resolve itself. If this happens, then the leaves can fall out and the water will dry fast!

You ever think about a big tarp in the Bed under the leaves and seal it up like a big bag going down the road with bungies.

Parsons branch over to the Tail of the Dragon…nope, I’ve never taken that route. But if it’s like the rest of the area then it should be absolutely stunning. I’m actually waiting for the weather to warm up a bit, and dry up a bit too (so much rain here in TN lately), and I’m going to get with the in-laws and take their Gladiator through the Cove with the top and doors off. That is the one feature of the Gladiator that I absolutely love, and Cades Cove is the perfect place to drive through like that. Pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it. There is a row of trees leading to the visitor’s center about halfway through the Cove that is perfect to sit under and have lunch.
Checking into sources of wind noise.

Its kinda disappointing how loose fitting the weather stripping is here, and the stamped holes lot of dust in there.
Plan to throw some light rtv in here eventually.

And don't worry about my finger nails.
i’ve got a whistle I can’t find. Think it’s the driver’s side rear window.

Good info. I noticed you have the Leonard Spray in liner. Wondering how it compares to LineX? I have a Leonard dealer near the house.
@underwhelmed can’t say how it compares but it appears to be a quality product

Bought a low mile set of Tremor wheels and tires with TPMS. Missed out on a set on the forum, a few days later a set popped up on our local CL. I’ve got some black lugs on the way. Pretty happy with the look, better pics soon.

Holy cow the General Grabbers are noisy.Love the look but have to keep the radio on to drown out the roar

And, I’ve got a vibration at 75+. Had a similar vibration in the other set, beginning to think it’s the truck not the wheels/tires

That's really clever, I didn't think of an extended flexible nozzle.

For Christmas I got a 200 psi 27 gallon DeWalt air compressor to replace an ancient Craftsman.

The bday tools are an 2235TiMAX 1/2” Air Impact Wrench, 119MAXK Air Hammer, a 109XPA 3/8” Air Ratchet, and a 3” Reversible Cut off Tool.
I haven't had a nice setup since long ago in Texas.

Funny you mention that. I did that before the BedRug and it looks like I should have continued. I do use a smaller tarp now, just on the bottom to make it easy to unload. But I fill it to the top of the rails with mulched leaves from a Billy Goat.

I have a little more road noise with the General Grabbers but nothing too significant. I have noticed that the warmer the weather gets the more air pressure I’m getting in them and the noise does get louder, still nothing crazy though. I am going to drop my tire pressure down to about 35psi to see if that alleviates some of the noise. But I will say this, these tire live up to their name. Grabbers…I don’t think I’ve ever has a set of tires that grip the road like these do. These tires are incredible.

As far as the vibration goes I haven’t experienced any. Like 9zero1790 said, you might want to get with a capable dealer to see if they know what’s going on. Best of luck buddy.

I was a good boy and got loads of goodies for my birthday (including some Ingersoll Rand air tools). But the highlight of my bday was finally something to help organize all the 10mm wrenches I have. I know many of you love this thing and I can see why. The ability to remove it for dump runs is a sheer bonus. =D

It was easy to install. The longest part was messing with the BedRug velcro, which I was able to re-use. I do need to get a new velcro strip for that magnet fiasco in front ...

IMG_20230327_115739633.jpg

Used the two bolts they supply for those of us missing the middle tie-downs as temp holders as I figured out where to cut the BedRug for the strike latch and padlock loop. You can see the holes in the BedRug from the tie-downs and those helped line it all up.

I dunno if this is a new thing because I didn't see it in any videos - a little locking doohickey that lets you swing out the case but not lift it out. Uses the same key as the lid. It would be pretty easy to pop it out of place with a screwdriver - keeping honest people honest I suppose.

I gotta say I like it! And may get one for the other side too!

Sure was a perfect bday gift for me and Soupie!

Yes, a spray in bed liner is your only option. Those bed carpets were designed for car shows and display purposes only. You want nothing that hold debris or moisture at all. And I'll bet there's plenty of leaf dust under plastic bed rail caps and tailgate cap too. I'm removing all three and having them Line-X'd asap. My 4G box rotted away in those places, and I undercoated under them!

Do you do your own undercoating or does someone do that for you? I went to Brian Pellerin’s Rust Check when I lived back east. I’m not sure what you or others think of that product. I have no idea how effective it is but it did seep out of the panels a bit but there wasn’t any noticeable dripping afterwards.
