What did you do to your Ranger today?

I was a good boy and got loads of goodies for my birthday (including some Ingersoll Rand air tools). But the highlight of my bday was finally something to help organize all the 10mm wrenches I have. I know many of you love this thing and I can see why. The ability to remove it for dump runs is a sheer bonus. =D

It was easy to install. The longest part was messing with the BedRug velcro, which I was able to re-use. I do need to get a new velcro strip for that magnet fiasco in front ...

Used the two bolts they supply for those of us missing the middle tie-downs as temp holders as I figured out where to cut the BedRug for the strike latch and padlock loop. You can see the holes in the BedRug from the tie-downs and those helped line it all up.

Eegads!!! mulched leaf debris out the wazoo under the BedRug - ugh, any advice? Removing it fully would suck because the tie downs are mounted on top. BAH! =p

I dunno if this is a new thing because I didn't see it in any videos - a little locking doohickey that lets you swing out the case but not lift it out. Uses the same key as the lid. It would be pretty easy to pop it out of place with a screwdriver - keeping honest people honest I suppose.

I gotta say I like it! And may get one for the other side too!

Fully welded. A little left to clean with the DO sander. Just waiting on the temp to warm up to coat it with Steel-It. Maybe tomorrow or Wednesday

You may be on the verge of a spray in liner and then maybe a rubber mat thingy ( I have a DeeZee one). I can't see any other way to keep the leaves/debris from accumulating and eventually causing a problem.

Quick update, anyone considering an anti-sway bar should do it. I had my first road trip in the mountains of N. Georgia, W. North Carolina this weekend. It's a dramatic improvement in handling and roll. It's probably the best money I've spent on the truck.

I probably should be better about cleaning it out between leaf runs but I did 8 or 10 in a row last year. But you've given me an idea, if I use my leaf blower at te front of the bed where I use magnets to hold up the BedRug, I wonder if I could then put the shop vac under the back where the tailgate meets the bed? Hmm, me thinks that could move some along. It was pretty fine and totally dry.

yeah, I'm worried about the tannic acid that leaves give off. They are dry now buy they get pretty wet during the year (I mean the bed gets wet and I assume it gets wet under the BedRug.

Funny, today while cleaning out the garage (I have the best vacation weeks ever) I was contemplating a spray-in liner with a a BedRug over it! Talk about overkill - or maybe not!

I do like that thing for my knees ...

Of course, the issue may resolve itself. If this happens, then the leaves can fall out and the water will dry fast!

Maintenance day/week! Oil change, tire rotation, UCA grease (icon), and decided to change front diff and transfer case fluids (did the rear diff last summer). I took off all my Shrockworks skids so I can finally get around to installing the PPE trans pan.

If a shop vac can't reach it perhaps try blowing it out with your air compressor. I'm sure you have a good one for your new tools. If there are pockets in the bed where you can fit a nozzle, I'm thinking just try to direct out the tailgate as much as you can. I'm picturing you using something like this so you can reach, (picture only for reference - tool of your choice.)

By the way - what air tools did you get for your birthday? I'm just asking because I like tools.

Installed the black/gray vinyl overlays on my steering wheel, tailgate and grille Ford Blue Ovals. I like the look much better. How long it will last I don’t know, but I like it.

Put TVD vinyl tailgate decals on my 22 ranger today..they are the carbon colored ones...hopefully they stay on good.

Had some warm weather roll in so i broke out the rattle can and did a little modification, 3 coats of color and 3 of clear, with plenty of dry time between each. Happy with it.
