Finally made the commitment to install the trailer brake controller. Had the package sitting around for a few weeks. Truly not to hard to install. Just a tedious job of removing trim pieces. Hooking into the third brake light wire was the worst part. Pinned the connectors wrong and it took a...
Thanks for the advice with the installation. Will keep that in mind if go this route
The mounting is pretty clear to me. Think their website details it pretty good. I'll look again at the Ranger pictures. Seems like 100s of tacos and only a couple of the Ranger.
Definitely on my radar.....liking the looks of the super slider with kick out fully plated....how was the mounting process?....is it rivet nuts, self trappers, or something else?
Roger that...only an hour or so away from their shop....not crazy about the way they mount....but everyone that has them give them high praise.....do you have any pictures of them mounted?
Shrock works is DOA now.....interested in what peoples experiences with other manufacturers are? Have been eyeballing expedition one or rocky road. Shipping $ is a jagged pill that I am struggling with swallowing. White knuckle is within pick distance but not crazy about their mounting style...
First oil change....as usual....wanted to catch it at 5k.....but didn't happen until 6500....seems to be a consistent lag between thinking about doing something and actually getting it done....quit changing my own oil a while back....but decided to start doing it again since it doesn't require a...
Okay cool....glad the manual seems to be clear on how to change modes....totally agree with you that the integration with the vehicle safety systems is a big selling point.
I just ordered one from my local dealership today. Thinking I might brave the install on my own. Have you had a chance to use it yet? Curious about how you change from proportional mode to driver control mode. My previous proportional controller had a brake strength adjustment knob but I could...
Upfitter switches didn't work from the factory. It was harder to find a competent dealership that could fix it than it was to fix it. Service paperwork said that a connector was found to be unplugged.
Rainy day today in SoCal, so I decided to get a couple of lighting projects done. Cali Raised ditch lights with their low profile mounts. Product quality seems to be good. Let's just say I am impressed for the cheap price. Hopefully, they will last. Installation was straight forward and there is...
Same everything with the similar results. Hoping the MPG improves a little with a few more miles on the clock. My F150 with the 2.7 did improve with more mileage. Not sure why but would definitely take the F150 MPG as a win if the Ranger could do it.
