Hmmm, did someone mention Ranger and Tonka in the same breath? I saw this today up in my hometown and just had to share it.

I had NO idea that they make toys that huge… thought my forklifter from the early 70‘s was THE BiGGEST toy ever ?

The ride seems quite good. I am guessing the added weight of the suv body and extra seats helps. But real happy with it. It gets about 30 mpg.

During the after school kid shows and Saturday morning cartoons, there were kid oriented commercials, including Tonka Toys. I still remember the jingle, and it will be an ear worm ("continuous replay" in my head) the rest of the day. That one, and, for those that grew up in the greater Twin Cities region, Lunch with Casey Jones' birthday song. One one the oldest agriculture and construction toymakers was Buddy L and later Ertl also were popular

can‘t remember the jingle here in germany.
Real lifelike AND lasting lifelong I can confirm. Still have it on the attic. More than 45 years old and ridden as hard as my cars ? I remember that I used it instead such an plastic bobbycar. Even the plastic parts are still completely intact and preserved…
good old days, when petrol was still leaded and phones still had rotary dials.
