You all keep posting about batteries failing and now mine has caught it. Thought I would get through another 6 mos, but after charging for a full weekend and getting a battery tender (the Ford Performance one), now two weeks later and all the notices are back.

My battery failed a test at a friends shop, need to take back to the dealer for them to do their test, and replace it under warranty.

I caught your "bad mouthing the batteries" disease and now I have to deal with it.

I tell ya... YOU ALL are on the list!

At 35400 miles right now, I fully expect my 2019 battery to last another couple years...
Yes, and please let us know when the Blue Bird of Happiness lands upon your head, and poops gold coins !!!

I think maybe Ford has optimized fuel mileage over performance and component longevity.
Batteries don't last due to low charging rates set at 70%-75% of battery capacity, 10 speed transmission tuned to lug. optimizing fuel mileage at around 1400 RPMs. TGDI engines that clog up the valve stems prematurely, instead of the tried and true port injection technology, less tension on piston rings resulting in increased blowby in crankcase, but have much less friction, single parabolic rear springs instead of multi leaf, etc. The list goes on and on....

I am trying to head off this battery issue before it bites me in the @ss! See my efforts in this thread that I just started today. Stay tuned to see how it all works out. I am going to be actively monitoring my battery condition until I am convinced that I have minimized the problem.

I'm on the original OEM battery and just passed 100,000 miles...

Mind if I ask how many miles you have on your transmission?

There's your problem, Ford spent all the quality money certifying your battery. Budget was empty when it came time to look at your transmission..
