What two and a half years living on gravel roads does to a new Ranger

Since that is the front of the rear wheels then only option is PPF or trade in for a white or silver ranger.

Like I said the PPF isn't going to pass muster. I already plastidipped the front lower grill from silver to black and that has been holding up great, I could do the whole truck. I've painted a car or two before. This one hyperdip makes isn't bad looking. Plus I could change colors every year for ~$350. The Line-x stripe was $1400 and looks like crap even with the color match.

Other thing I thought of is adding rock sliders/steps though I don't think that'll block everything either.

Nope, in the pics it looks exaggerated. 265/70 Wildpeaks on the stock wheels.

We had that happen to my wife's new focus on the way home from picking it up. Ford put mud flaps on it and painted the areas with a very heavy slightly rough color matched rubbery protector film and never had the problem again.

Well I might contact them, I'm in the 3 year warranty until October. Really my main concern is rust if I put something over it now.

I like plasti-dip when applied right. You could easily apply any color you want to the lower section then repair or replace it as needed.

I would avoid Line-X as that would be permanent. I've seen vehicles (typically older and used in ranches) that were completely covered in Line-X or similar. They looked like crap but it served a purpose.

Yeah I like it too. In my very limited experience with it, it doesn't like to rip off in a clean line like paint though. I have extra black left over and might try a triangle-type deal at the back quarter where the chips are. Peel it off if it looks like crap and go from there.

Guess I shoulda got it in white...

I don't see a real solution for this outside of a expensive and ugly line-x coating or maybe I will try doing a strip of plasti-dip. Chips through the 3M strip and even if I got it repainted under warranty it would just chip again with this thin eco-paint.

We were 1 day and less than 50 miles when it was documented. That seemed to be the only reason they fixed it right. They had it for a week to let everything cure right. You may have a hard time getting it fixed by Ford because of waiting so long but any body shop should be able to offer a permanent fix.

You can get a straight line. Mask off with painters tape, apply a very very light 1st coat, after 15-20 mins then apply light coats until the desired thickness and coverage. Allow 15-20 to dry between coats. Here's the trick with plasti-dip to get the edge straight. On the last coat don't let it dry. While still moist but not fully wet, slowly peel the masking tape away. If it dries it will pull the plasti-dip instead of breaking away cleanly.

That's way to long to pull tape. I needs to be moist. The 1st coat has to be very very light. Clumpy looking dipped sections are mostly from applying too much. Less is more here. Bad edges are from pulling after it's fully dry.

I bought it but didn't put it on. Too many horror stories of it peeling off even more paint when you go to replace it. Plus another member here used it and it chipped right through his too.

I bought em early on, Weather Techs. The Rock Blokz that much better?

The Rock Blokz XLs have prevented a good amount of my chips. I have a few on my 21 but the 19 without flaps got destroyed by chips.
