I watched these two people load up their SUV for 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get a couch home, it fell off two blocks away!:giggle:

That's like the knuckleheads you see with a mattress on their roof and they're holding it with their hand. Like that's going to help when it starts to blow off! ?‍♂

Reminds me of watching people try to get thier new 925" TV into thier suv. Didn't they think to measure first? Or did they not account for the box? Smdh.
Could probably make a few bucks waiting outside the local Costco in the Ranger to assist in these circumstances. ?

I think "SUV" is the most generous description a VW Golf SportWagen can receive.

There is absolutely nothing wrong here.
It is securely tied down by at least 5 points plus one in the front and one in the rear, which leads one to believe that there are more tie-down points than we have on our Rangers.
And then there is the lowered rear end. Our Rangers rear end height has become a point of contention among some owners, so the lowered rear of the pictured vehicle should not be criticized.
The load in the rear seat places some of the weight forward of the rear axle, which balances the load on the roof. And the extra weight in the back seat will easily overcome any "top-heaviness"
of the roof load...it provides a lower center of gravity to counter the top load.

As for this...this is simply a great way to save gas...the driver is obviously taking advantage of a strong following breeze, while the passenger is acting as a "sail operator" using and guiding the box as an expert sailor would do by adjusting a sail on a small sailing skiff.
Lot's here are critical of our Ranger's poor mpg, and should take note of this great way to save gas!!!!
