i keep a long haul 9 gallon ish - 30 litre tank in my 5g. its helped me out at least two times. they are a little known brand but a good product. similar to the rotopax but half the cost. basically a Taiwan copy of the flashy brands. got it for 60 bucks. comes with spout and good rubber seals and a vent. most importantly no california approved pain in the ass nozzle. i know yall know the nozzles i speak of. long haul makes several sizes. in red yellow for diesel and black white green for water or whatever. the nice thing is they are thin. fits in the 5g bed easily.

What kind of crap post is this. Where are the links.

Too funny!!!
As we speak, I'm sitting outside the supermarket waiting for my wife who just ran in for eggs and "plant based" meat.
In all fairness.... I really like the stuff.
Cows eat meat, so (ahem) beef is plant-based...

And I eat cows, so I am plant based too. Just being eco conscious.
We bought a big pack of beyond burgers at Costco. Tried 2 and just tossed the other 10 out. They are chemical based we figured by the after taste left in your mouth. I don't know how people can enjoy them ? .

18 Gallons, is that it? I am surprised that the US market isn’t flooded with long range tank options
Midsize market is not as big as the fullsize market. Not even close. Then the tacoma is a huge winner here in the U.S. so...even though somebof us would buy bigger tanks, it is probably not a very profiting venture for most companys in the U.S.

Agreed that full-size market is significantly bigger for the US. The NA Ranger market is still huge compared to the Australian, where midsized utes were are No.1 (Toyota) and No.2 (Ford) bestselling cars.

it's 3.8 miles per Km?
1 mile = 1.6 km, so 60 miles comes out to 96 km.

I also keep a 5gal/20L spare in the back. I got caught once in a traffic jam on the I-90 in NY with the Escape, where we crawled or were at a stand-still for ever; I don't remember the reason why, but I went into that traffic with about 1/4 tank (which was 60L/15gal; worth roughly 125km distance) and finally limped into the gas station with an estimated 2km left in the tank. Went and got the spare the very next week. It also comes in handy when I go camping out in the backwoods; I may not "need" to use it much (I will, just to swap out the gas), but it gives me peace of mind. Plus, when gas got crazy high in the past couple of years, it's bought me the option to wait out a drop in price without having to give up the truck; I've lost count of the times I've referred to this spare fuel as "my retirement plan".

Hi David,

Thank you for the link on this gas can.
Ordered from link as Amazon won't ship to CA, even though it is 50 state CARB compliant.
I'm sorry to hear that and that stinks.

I came across a video for gas cans by Project Farm last night:

The half-ton market is big, but the gas mileage requirements make it unprofitable for the manufacturers to produce. Nobody buys them at the required price points. This is why the 3G ranger was discontinued (in the USA).

(Edited to add relevant content :) WIll this extended range tank fit the USA Ranger? Or only the AU Raptor?

or use proper english and no confusion
I hate to break it to you, but it's y'all still using the imperial mile that's causing the confusion; it's also always struck me as a bit odd that the country that prides itself on having given the middle finger to the British Empire resolutely sticks to using the British Imperial measurement standards, when even the Brits have traded them in for the international standard in many (albeit, not all) metrics.

From Wikipedia: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mile#...s abandoned the,Kingdom and the United States.)
While most countries abandoned the mile when switching to the metric system, the international mile continues to be used in some countries, such as Liberia, Myanmar,[57] the United Kingdom[58] and the United States.[59] It is also used in a number of territories with less than a million inhabitants, most of which are U.K. or U.S. territories, or have close historical ties with the U.K. or U.S.: American Samoa,[60] Bahamas,[61] Belize,[62] British Virgin Islands,[63] Cayman Islands,[64] Dominica,[64] Falkland Islands,[65] Grenada,[66] Guam,[67] The N. Mariana Islands,[68] Samoa,[69] St. Lucia,[70] St. Vincent & The Grenadines,[71] St. Helena,[72] St. Kitts & Nevis,[73] the Turks & Caicos Islands,[74] and the U.S. Virgin Islands.[75] The mile is even encountered in Canada, though this is predominantly in rail transport and horse racing, as the roadways have been metricated since 1977.[76][77][78][79] The Republic of Ireland gradually replaced miles with kilometres, including in speed measurements; the process was completed in 2005.
