  1. Living in the USA - Some life advice for an Australian

Summer is no problem. I'm more worried about the winter. It gets too cold for my liking.
  2. Living in the USA - Some life advice for an Australian

Mate, that is devastating and I am sorry to hear, my son passed at only 12yo. I live near your nephews university in Perth Western Australia and am sure his passing is felt amongst his Australian peers and alumni.
  3. Living in the USA - Some life advice for an Australian

So work has thrown me a curve ball and is looking to relocate me to the USA for the next 4+ years. I’ll be living in the Charleston SC area (initially) and need some advice about housing, cars and general life. While we both come from “western cultures” the are some significant difference...
  4. Goodbye Ranger

I ordered mine in February, I was the 90th Raptor preorder just at my dealer! 6G Rangers have been available for about 4 months now, with long waits for any V6 model. If you ordered a Raptor today, it would take about 7-9 months for delivery.
  5. Goodbye Ranger

They are not as popular as they used to be. I’ve put the price lists and variations below.
  6. Long range fuel tank (140L or 37 gal)

They aren’t cheap in Australia either. $2000aud including fitting + additional fuel. But the new car is about to get 450km on its first tank, that just won’t work here ?
  7. Goodbye Ranger

Yes it does, drives and passengers
  8. Long range fuel tank (140L or 37 gal)

Agreed that full-size market is significantly bigger for the US. The NA Ranger market is still huge compared to the Australian, where midsized utes were are No.1 (Toyota) and No.2 (Ford) bestselling cars.
  9. Long range fuel tank (140L or 37 gal)

18 Gallons, is that it? I am surprised that the US market isn’t flooded with long range tank options
  10. Long range fuel tank (140L or 37 gal)

So in my diesel 5g Ranger I had a Polly ARB 140L tank that would get me up to 1600km in a single fill, it was phenomenal range. I was a bit concerned that the new petrol 6g was going to be severely limited by having a 80l tank (still on its first tank, but on track for only 450km ?). It turns...
  11. Goodbye Ranger

The new widescreen gauge has dozens of different screens, is there something in particular you want to see?
  12. Goodbye Ranger

I have said goodby to my FX4 Max (Tremor) and welcomed the arrival of a new baby. Thanks for all the fun times, will miss you ?
  13. Anyone install rear airbags?

Hey all. I installed a set of rear airbags into my FX4Max (Australian Tremor). The kit was from airbagman.com with Firestone airbags and simple installation. There were no problems with clearance of any components but it does look like Aus and US have very different suspension setups in the...
  14. Post your off-road pics.

No doubt about it, there are some awesome places in Australia. If your really keen on 4x4, Western Australia is the place to do it.
  15. Post your off-road pics.

Went 4WDing in West Cape Howe in Western Australia. Some of the most remote and best beaches in Australia. I was out on my own and unfortunately got a bit stuck.
  16. The PIC whore club! Come on in!

Got a bit stuck this weekend while 4WDing in the great state of Western Australia.
  17. Aux upfitter switch wiring

I think that feature is for the Australian FX4 Max only. I didn’t see any reference to the high beam in @overangers manual.
  18. No Sunroof on 2022?

Over here in Australia the Everest is the SUV version of the Ranger and comes with a sunroof standard on the higher spec models. Personally I have never heard of a sunroof leaking on any of these cars (not to say it doesn't happen), but I would love the huge sunroof on my next Ranger and those...
  19. Light Bars??

Hey All A little plug for an Australian light company "STEDI". - https://www.stedi.com.au I ended up going way overboard on My ranger with a 23.3" all flood light and twin Quad spots. I think it looks pretty cool with the nudge bar that provides a solid mounting point. The combination of...
