I upgraded to a 9" android head unit with 360 camera. I didn't watch the whole video. So unaware of rear camera.

There is no way I will ever own another vehicle without a volume knob. Most large touch screen applications get rid of them so they're a no-go for me.

Agreed. When they installed my head unit the guy claimed the volume knob wouldn't work and I'd have to use steering wheel controls. I was bummed but I wanted the 360 camera to protect myself evidentially. I like being able to just reach and adjust volume manually. Well luckily it does still work. So worked out good.

Haha some people still prefer a flip phone. If I can put a 13” tablet style screen in my ranger and stream YouTube videos while driving to work then that’s what I’m into. The factory screen on the ranger is dated Movie nights while driving to outback for the blooming onion, sign me the hell up!

There’s a reason you can’t stream YouTube videos while driving. Why can’t you just watch them on your phone like all the other road zombies. ?‍

Kind of nuts how everyone is screen crazy when talking about a freaking vehicle. I'd honestly have agreed to pay more for my Ranger if it meant it would have zero screens and be all old school gauges, knobs, etc. Just nuts. It's a freaking vehicle. Not a damn laptop.

As someone said earlier, we are all different with different opinions. So all good.

The F150 loaner I just returned had a 12" screen and 360 camera's it was awesome!!
That 9" looks great, the bigger one is even more interesting if the interface would look more like OEM Ford than Droid

On the flip side I do like a radio knob as digital always seems I can never get the EXACT setting either a bit to high or low...

As someone said earlier, we are all different with different opinions. So all good.

At some point, I think you will end up paying significantly more for "regular" buttons, knobs, gauges, etc. It is cheaper for manufacturers to just put in a screen and then they can put whatever they want on the screen, however they want to format it. Gauge clusters are a thing of the past - it is the "gauge display" now. I shudder to think what it will cost to replace that thing when it goes bad.....

I agree the screens are kind of getting out of control, but I don't see it turning around anytime soon.
