How to remove dash switch pod

I want to add a 20mm ball mount to my dash for phone/tablet mounting arm like I had on my wrangler. The left side of the lower part of the switch pod looks to be a perfect place. I need to get to backside to drill and attach the backside mounting plate for the ball mount. Does anyone know if the switch pod is just “clipped in” as It kind of feels like it but I don’t want to just yank it off LOL

I’m of no help, but I’ll be following this thread closely to see how it turns out. I’ve considered removing my Switch Panel entirely so that I can install a BuiltRight Dash Mount but this may be a better solution.
