I haven't had issues with reaching tie downs, and I have a Tremor so the issue is amplified a bit, but sometimes the height of the tailgate is a hassle. I've learned that sitting on it and then spinning into the bed to be the trick.
Just step on the bumper step, over the tailgate. It's a lot eaiser.
So, my impression after a few weeks, Yes the Nissan is a better truck, love the 3.8L motor! Heated seats are nice, and I can actually get my arms into the bed to tie stuff down!!! the 120V outlet in the bed is also nice! Quick good looking little truck. Yes, better ?
Glad you like your new truck.

The bumper on mine isn't useful as a step when the bed is full and the tailgate is down. Yours might be different.

Great! So you’re going away now? Instead of coming on here every few days just to rile people up.

Not really a fan of Nissans after my 2018 Frontier Pro4X adventure (misadventure?)

But I do kinda dig the V8 NISMO concept Frontier they just unveiled.

With the Titan rumored to be going the way of the Dodo, whatever will Nissan do with all those V8 engines laying around?

If they actually build this, they may finally be able to include the Ranger specs in their promo material.

Oh wait, they still can't. Since their promo spec sheets specifically compare the lowest options available on the competition, the Ranger coming standard with the 2.3 EB kinda nukes that line of attack.

The V8 NISMO concept

Saw a new Frontier at Home Depot the other day. It was white in color, just like my Ranger. Have to admit, that was the only thing I liked about it. Sorta like Danny Glover said: What a ugly mother f-----.

Nissan should have just kept it the same across the board since the Frontier was the name badge used for the US. It was called the Navara globally same truck just with Diesel Engine Options. Nissan decided to pull a Toyota and differentiate the two trucks. Because they said owners wanted really no changes to the truck yet it really doesn't sell. But anyways here is what the new Frontier should have been. It may have actually been competitive to the Ranger.

17 pages about a guy who bought the wrong vehicle for his needs. I want Ford to fix my defective Ranger because it won't pull my 35 foot 5th wheel. I'm buying a Nissan instead for economic reasons!
