Clear as a bell now. Would have been great if Truxedo had changed the illustration for clarity.

A couple of weeks ago I took my supercab to the nearest Line-X dealer, about 60 miles away. I had them install their branded Truxedo Lo Pro. Other than having a small, discrete, Line-X brand mark, I do not know if it is any different. I chose to go with them when they offered the option at the time I made the appointment for the bed lining. I found it convenient, the whole thing done in a couple of hours with no charge for installation.

As far as the quality, it seems okay. I used to have an Extang on my F150 which I think it used to latch easier. My wife could do it, while this one she cannot. I do not know if there is an adjustment for that. I liked a better the Extang strap latches to keep it rolled than the hooks this one has, but is no big deal. It also seems to get way hotter on the sun that the Extang. May be being new, it is a truer black and absorbs more radiation. I am not sure about water tightness, but for my use I do not care.

I think you might not be understanding what a well nut is. You don't have to get in between the cab and bed at all. Slide the well nut right through the hole while standing in the bed, sit the bulkhead in place, then put the screw right into the well nut and tighten until it pulls the rubber tight from the back. They even told me when calling that the washers on the back of the well nut aren't really needed so there's nothing that has to go behind the bulkhead.

It took me about an hour reading the instructions and trying different ways to get that well nut in the correct position but like you said when everything is like you said it tightens up good

I did send off a message to Truxedo and to their credit they contacted me with a nice letter and a heads up on a seal for the Truxport. Seems engineering has been looking at a better way and are sending the seal out to me. Nice to see a company that takes the feedback from customers seriously
My Ford roll-up leaks severely at the bulkhead seal too. I just filled out the contact form for Truxedo tech support and I'm waiting for a reply.

What parts did they send you? Did it help?

First nit picky thing I have found on the Ranger is the fact that on the driver side of the bulkhead there is a slotted hole and on the passenger side it is a round hole. Can't for the life of me figure out why Ford would do that. I ended up with a 5/16 T nut on the passenger side turned smooth side to the bulkhead with double back tape to keep it in place. Used a toggle bolt on the other side. Yeah I'm pretty sure the warranty is now void but the chance of me ever purchasing another Truxport is slim to none. It's on looks good but UGH.
Mine has an elongated hole on both sides. Yours must have been a quality error.

Haven't gotten them yet, they just told me on Friday.

On the bed of the truck itself? Those things are made on a stamping die so unless they changed it after the initial production run I don't see how that happens, The adapter piece has two slots but not the actual truck bed.

No way it should take more the 5 minutes to figure this thing out. Bad illustrations and instructions.

You're absolutely correct about stamping but many times long parts are made on computer controlled punching machines with multiple punch and die sets. My memory sometimes fails me so I'll have to look again when I take the bulkhead adapter off to add some foam to the top. I'm hoping that will solve water leaking between the cover and bulkhead adapter.

Don't really know if the bed sheetmetal parts are made by a supplier of at the truck assembly plant. I headed quality at a construction equipment factory and most of our components were made by smaller sheetmetal suppliers to reduce cost.

Yeah, like the little piece of foam that you are supposed to stick into the bulkhead corners where there is almost nothing to stick to.

Here’s the Bulkhead seal on the Ford Soft Rollup Tonneau. Good extension over the bulkhead rail that comes with the cover kit.

I also have the Ford Rollup on cover kit installed on my Lariat SuperCrew bed. Mike leaks at the bulkhead seal. It doesn't have the flap shown in your photo. I called TruXedo support and they were not very helpful; saying they don't warranty it to be waterproof. The SN of my cover is 102593217 purchased in April. I'm thinking they made an improvement but are not admitting it. Do you know the SN of your cover? It's on a paper label stuck on the bulkhead crossbar that contacts the bulkhead seal, driver's side. You have to roll it all the way up and look under the roll to see it. They have asked me to send a bunch of pictures so I plan to show them your photo along with my photos of the leak areas. Any info you can give me would be helpful. Thanks

Well, Mine is the Ford OEM Rollup Cover that I ordered through Ford Accessories. I can't confirm that it is made by Truxedo, I did say I assume it is because it looks so much like the Truxedo LoPro I've had in the past. If you've confirmed it is a Truxedo product I'll see if I have a SN label on it.

Thanks, mine came with printed installation instructions from Truxedo and the vinyl roll has the Ford logo embossed in it. The instructions call it a Truxport and the phone number got me to Truxedo. The support person agreed it is their product for Ford. I guess a dealer installed yours.
