I say fire everyone until I can get a Ford Everest here in the U.S.
Maybe draw and quarter the top execs, seemed to work well in the middle ages.......

While shopping for my Ranger, there wasn’t a single other competitor that had a midsize truck on the lot other than the Colorado. And there was only a single one, which ended up being by sold to the person who test drove it after me. Nissan has their stop sell, and Toyota pretty much laughed at me being to buy a Tacoma immediately for MSRP (not that I want one). Nobody other than Ford was taking custom orders.

My Honda CRV has been waiting for a sensor for 10 months now (I finally got it back, just driving without ACC). there are no companies with stock and honestly, I’ve had the best treatment from Ford and Gm dealers as a whole. Toyotas had markups, Hondas has markups, even Hyundai. Ford is not doing any worse.

I like the Farley is looking into the future and looking to preserve Ford as an auto manufacturer that’s looking to stick around 10,20 years from now. It’s good that he’s embracing electric, no matter what your feel about ICE vs EV, EV is the future of the consumer vehicle.

I and most of my cohort (I’m 30) would absolutely prefer to purchase DTC and support right to repair to be able to get first tier service at independent shops while retaining warranty. Being more of a DIY guy, I’d love to be able to get first party repair data and software.

I bleed Ford.... My concern is that the chiefs did not completely do their job...
. The top execs are paid to have the brains and foresight to plan and be prepared for the future... They failed in my book... Letting foreign car companies deliver new technology with four wheels on the ground to dealers here in America. Maybe they should hire Toyota brass to run the U.S. car companies...
If I understand it right, that's just what they did when they hired Jim Farley?
Lexus is a Toyota with lock washers , ain't it? :giggle:

Do you not remember the 6.0 psd, or the 6.4? How about the mod motors?
I've only bought their best.... 239, 223, 289, 351, 300, four different 2.3s etc.:clap::rockon:
I remember when Ford "wanted to be my car company"....
Now the "Ford in my Future" turns out to be a 1950!:giggle::shock:

I am not too sure about the whole idea of it being one persons fault. Again dealing with the whole global shortage issue (not just chips)...dealing with a downturn in the economy...dealing with a hostile .gov that wants to overturn nearly a full century of infrastructure practically overnight...

Yeah there are many different cogs turning in this causing issues to abound for all. Some can deal with them better than others.

Didnt take a government bailout yet. Vehicles are still the best.
Making EVs and ICE vehicles that both look like a ford and not a jellybean.

Take it easy on him, could be worse.
What Derek said. Didn't take a government bailout yet. If that would happen, my opinion would shift...

Farley is easily the best guy we've had in charge since Mulally.

I suppose you could place blame on the CEO of almost every company out there . I work for a tier 1 supplier to Ford ,BMW , MB , Toyota , Samsung electric , Stellantis , GM etc and we have issues getting parts for all the lines . We can not even get power transformers from the power company to complete buildings that new equipment is going into . Lead time on a transformer is 50 weeks now ! Not that the equipment is going to be delivered on schedule either or that we can find skilled workers that want to work :(
