Hi

Just curious why truck slows itself down when driving through curves and ACC is active? No other vehicles on the road at this time but speed was high for that road and it happened at sharp curves only.
After curve fixed speed restored.

Could be lane departure, driver assist. It happened to me once, so I turned off the assist and left warning on...

It's a "curve control"...when it senses the truck is entering a curve too fast, it will slow the truck by around 10 mph within a second or two. Once out of the curve it will resume the speed that was set.
Part of the CoPilot 360 package.

That makes sense, thank you! Had no idea about it, will check more.
But it slowed not only 10 mph and second-two..

I think it slows a minimum of 10 mph....probably more if it senses speed is really high.

The adaptive cruise in my Infiniti did the same thing.

Another reason to be glad I dont have it. I have a GMC loaner for the week and it has ACC. I hate looking down to realize im slowing down because there is a car 1000ft ahead...

I have both, cruise control and ACC.
I think you can choose which one to use?

That would be nice, google and the manual say nothing about it. Cant wait to get my truck back at this point.

It's a setting in the driver assistance menu that lets you choose between the 2 versions.
This is true. I took a long trip in a snow storm using ACC and it eventually quit working as the unit had few inches of ice frozen on it. When I stopped and cleared all ice it still didn’t work but I just switched truck to regular cruise control & it worked just fine. The ACC eventually came back to life the next day.

I"ve never noticed this slow down on curves. You folks must be going pretty fast on some sharp curves ;) When the road gets to curvy, I tend to turn off ACC and drive manually though.

I could be wrong, but I doubt the lane keeping or ACC is smart enough to do this on the 2020.

The sensors could be seeing the outside wall or guide barriers and misreading it as a vehicle you are approaching due to the closing radius. If you are driving the same bends repeatedly, try moving farther to the inside/outside of the bend to see how that affects the speed changes.

I've had the same thing happen when I'm in the inside lane of a bend, and the sensors pick up the vehicle in the outside lane, then slow me down thinking I had closed on the car in front of me even though my lane was clear..

Curve control is not tied to ACC. ALL Rangers have curve control, even the base XL without cruise control.
And while we are at it. ALL Rangers have:

curve control
pre-collision assist with auto emergency braking
passive anti-theft
advance track with roll stability control.
plus other normal safety features
