I think many here would like to see your post about that day with before/after pictures so I hope it will happen.

And here’s a secret proof from week ago about my truck not being so nice and clean as I usually show it ?

You posted the wrong pic. Looks extremely clean to me!

And our yard is only a fifth of an acre!!! But the never-trimmed 65 year old ewe trees have zillions of branches. This is my third summer of hacking them back

BUT ... The first two were really slow with using curbside pickup and bundling the bigger branches into 4 foot bundles no bigger than a foot in diameter.

With Soupie, I've been able to clear out so much more with much less work. =)
Don’t listen to them David, they’re jealous they don’t get to drive their Rangers enough. I’ve been on four dump runs this week alone and it’s only open three days a week. That’s right - a double header on Tuesday. :handsinair:

But then again, we used to have a fully-functional two-bedroom guest house at the cottage until Mrs. DukeCanBuildit said she would like a backsplash in the kitchen…

Oh, and new cabinets, and flooring, and can we move a wall and make the living room bigger, and have that bedroom door open at the other end of the room, what about getting rid of that window so we can have more cabinets, and can we change all the doors to Shaker style and put in new door casings, window trim, and baseboard moldings - what about wooden blinds - we’ll also need all new appliances, and can you add a built-in dishwasher and a vent hood? And I don’t like those cream coloured switches and wall plugs - can you change them to white? Oh, and how about a row of pot lights in the kitchen ceiling and new light fixtures everywhere else? Also, we might as well redo the bathroom while you‘re at it. We should probably redo the deck after - can you make it a bit bigger?

Yeah, so there have been a bunch of dump runs over the past few weeks, four this week, and more to come as we get further along with this new backsplash. ?

Beach trip is a wrap. Had a great time, plus bonus fireworks last night over the water!

And my Ranger was with us in spirit ?...

Couldn't look less natural ?.

Hope all of you in the states are having a great Labor Day weekend, spending time with your families (if you choose to do so) and buying tons of truck mods on sale! ??

The natural evolution of any home project as far as I'm aware.?

I like your retractable tonneau.

And I like that insulation - more environmental, greater insulation value, great sound absorption, and no need for a vapour barrier.

Well, when that day comes, I'll for sure take a bunch of pics.

Yikes! The dump is both a necessity and a tiny break (albeit, a working one).

And dang!!! That's some serious remodeling work! And a test of patience too.

Good luck with it all and you'll end up with a great new space and tons of brownie points! Plus the King of the Dump Run title!

I've seen many post where members are driving while posting but this has to be a first. Posting on R5G while in church. Now off to the confession booth and receive your penance.⛪

No pics, but we are VERY close to the beach. We always take the Ranger to the beach because we keep the beach chairs and umbrella in the back under the tonneau cover. And it's nice having the shower rigged up on the back to rinse off the sand before climbing back in to go home.

Today, as we were walking out to leave, there was a guy with two little girls looking at the truck. You could tell he liked it and was pointing out things like the snorkel and radio antennas. That kind of stuff always makes my wife's eyes roll. HAHAHAHA

Correct. Stone wool insulation to be excact.

I haven’t noticed your truck dirty even while working, from pictures I’ve seen. :)
They are not supposed to be beauty queens but trucks.
One reason I'm lazy about doing a real wash and Graphene is that I have a hard time believing that it will actually look shinier than in the pic below.

I've soaped and rinsed it 3 times since May 18. And it has rained and also been parked under an oak with annoying tiny sap droplets, and this is how the light reflects off of it right now.

I'm mentioning @AzScorpion because he's the Graphene expert and asking if he thinks it would look shinier than this slightly dirty truck pic shows. This pic was taking yesterday late afternoon and it sure looks shiny to me (but my vision's not the best).

Also, the reflection looks really crisp and it seems like cars that I see with Graphene or ceramic look really shiny, but an oily shine with softer lines (if that makes sense). The Graphene and ceramic cars have a very deep reflection but the edges of the reflections look softer ... to me anyway.
