My very last race bike before I retired from racing

300 cc's of fun. K-tech suspension in front, Ohlins in back. Somehow a little Ninja 300 managed to end up costing me, $10K, hahah. Dyno tuned to run on MR12 oxygenated fuel - made wicked HP for a 300. But best of all, I didn't use up a $400 set of tires in one weekend like my old middleweight. Fun size bike, full size fun - Especially when on the track and zig zagging around others on the same bike while fighting for a draft.

ive heard great things about the lower cc racing classes people do it sounds like a blast!

I pretty much have always had two motorcycle at a time. My all time favorite bike was this Yamaha Road star warrior. That bike had soul. I would take it to the drag strip and long distances.

Had a Honda VFR, SV650, 1st gen ZX-10. Now down to a busa that I couldn’t leave alone and stuck a turbo bigger than most cars have. Did track days on the busa, drag strip runs and 667mile non stop road trips.

Stock wheel base.

Got looks taking the heavy bus to track days. Loved it!

Then put on the turbo. 311hp and 174 torque on pump gas.

Back to the track on Friday run what you brung nights. Top speeds were approaching getting kicked out and told I would have to come back on test and tune nights with the faster cars. Still have the bus today.

Still have a 2012 Road King classic.

Got my silly little savage back together (sans sissy bar) today and took it for a quick ride.

Happy enough with how the paint came out I suppose. The rustoleum glitter paint does shine nicely in the sun with greens and blues popping out.. I just don't know how to take a damn picture to save my life lol.

hey man that turned out good! just gotta get you some vinyl made with a old school stripe look and it would look period correct!

haha that can work as well! overall the paint came out good man id be proud of it!

Over the years I’ve owned several dirt bikes and street bikes. One of the most fun bikes was a 2005 ZZR1200, screaming fast and pretty comfortable for road trips.
Last year I picked up a junker 1980 CB750F and turned it into a scrambler style run about.
I just recently picked up a 1983 GL650 that will be redone in a cafe racer style.

Yeah I’m pretty happy with how the CB turned out, it’s been a nice city cruiser.

she lives! after the rebuild i had a few hicups but after all that was taken care of she runs great! so decided to ride into work today!

I had a Warrior for a while. I had the factory chin fairing, bikini fairing, and both side intake scoops. I loved the stump pulling torque. But ultimately I sold it because one thing about it did not agree with me - The feet forward riding position made me feel like a human clamshell.

But if we want to talk about favorites that we miss, I gotta go way, way back to my old 1984 Yamaha RZ 350. 2 stoke smoking goodness. Set up and tuned very well and embarrassing Hurricane and Ninja 600's of the mid to late 80's. I loved leaving those bikes in a cloud of blue smoke.

These RZ's are now super rare, and good condition low mile versions that aren't ratty or damaged and fetching 5 digits.

Wasn't there a Kenny Roberts edition of that bike? I had a 500 interceptor an it wasn't the fastest bike of it's day but it was so light an well balanced it handled great

man oh man a buddy of mine had one of those interceptors and hated it haha i got to ride it once and it was neat besides the fact it was rather gutless and a pretty poorly designed engine
