New member here from Virginia. I'll be aggressively stalking this forum for as much information as I can possibly scrape. Fortunately, I know how to use the search function so hopefully that'll limit the number of stupid questions. :)

End goal, ordering a new, Ranger Lariat SC 4x4 in Hot Pepper Red.

Thanks for letting me join!
I hope you like $500 discounts and Halogen headlights. Also, SC is not clear, is that the SuperCab (Scab) or SuperCrew (Screw)?

Edit: Found this one that is showing with the LEDs still. I think the Black Appearance package is worth that add-on. Match at Thornhill Ford (assuming your SC was for a Screw)

New member from Wichita Falls, Tx with a cactus gray FX4! Funny thing is, I actually bought my ranger used in Oklahoma and afterward found it here on the site! Accordingly, I want to thank the previous owner for trading it in because I love this truck and it already had 90% of the mods done to it. As a side benefit most upgrades were documented here! Also love the graphics he put on so, yeah…I am keeping it the same from that perspective. :)

I am in the process of switching the add a leaf to icon leaf packs, adding go rhino dss sliders like I had in my gladiator, upgrading them audio system and deadening the aluminum door “twang” and eventually switching to fox adjustable coilovers and rear shocks.
Welcome Chris - great mods moving forward - sounds like you’ll fit right in with many of the folks here. That truck looks like it used to belong to Rich (@Utah_Bound ).

Welcome Rich - I hope you don’t have to wait too long for your truck - at any rate, it’s worth the wait.

Your right it did! I was amazed that I found it on the forum. It’s an awesome truck and can’t wait to get the last few mods knocked out.

Top o' the mornin'! New member here, from Denver, CO (VT originally, long time ago). I picked up a Tremor all of 10 days ago after an exhaustive search. I had been looking for a red pepper or carbo gray tremor within 500 miles of Denver for several months, whenever I would find one, it would be inbound but spoken for. Found a couple right at the edge, or beyond, my mileage limit...ABQ, ORD, BNA...but didn't really want to drive that far, or fly and drive back. Finally found one about 160 miles away in Salida, and took a stab at it. Couldn't be happier with the decision. Like others, I dug into the Colorado ZR2, and Taco TRDPro/OR as alternatives...in the end, this was the correct choice (except I really wish they offered a stick).

I also have a '23 red pepper Tremor on order from my local dealership, but wasn't really looking forward to waiting until April...so alas!

"Adjustments" already made: Engine cover, black/smoke badges, removing dealer/Tremor stickers, airing down from 44psi (!!!) to 37. Planning on a RetraxPro XR and Leitner Forged ACS system, once the wife allows me to spend money again.

Great forum, definitely helped with the purchase! Thanks all.
r

EDIT: I am completely torn and undecided on installing a damper...but I hear nobody cares about that anyway....

Welcome Ron, nice looking Tremor! There's a wealth of info here and many willing to help with questions. You might want to start a separate bank account because your wife won't be able to keep up with us here trying to help you spend money. ?

We were just in Salida in June while traveling through to South Dakota. It (along with all of CO) was a beautiful area and you're lucky to have all the mountains and trails right there to test your Ranger on.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the welcome. We already have like 8 bank accounts for our various projects, what's another right?? ;)

The information here is great, I've been lurking for a while. I've had a couple of Wranglers (TJ & JK), so I feel comfortable with the hardware and 4x wrenching. That said, the electrical system terrifies me, something I'll have to get over to utilize all the upfitter switches staring at me.

LOVE the black hills. It's really too bad the Rag will never see them, we always take the wife's Forester on road trips over a few hundred miles. Rampart Range, Caribou, St. Mary's, and the front-range UHV areas will have to suffice.

Hi Ron,

As an ambassador for ford and former Ranger Vehicle Engineering head, I hope your Ranger delivers for you like most forum members espouse their happy experience with their Range. I am here to help as much as I can...NO MOD help as I have no ambition to mod other than the tailgate damper and the Bakflip toneau cover...

Best,
Phil

Thanks Phil! I have read your threads/posts with great interest, always great to have a former engineer in our ears. I do not plan many mods, mostly accessories.

For mods: blackout side marker and mirror signal lights, black/smoke badges (blasphemous, I know), probably hood struts, possibly a tailgate damper, possibly a leveling kit in the future. For accessories, the bed will get tricked out this year (spray-in liner, lights, cover, rack), we'll see what the future brings...maybe a built-in compressor eventually, maybe a winch.

Y'all have a good weekend!

Welcome Rich! The search bar works best when you use the Google tab and add Ranger 5G to your search. You can stay busy for weeks with all the info here and don't hesitate to ask questions if you don't find what you're searching for. There are many here willing to help but one word of caution. Do not put the word Damper in the search bar. There's so many results that we might never see you again if you do. ?
...or auto stop/start...

Just a note on the blackout side marker, not really legal in most places to remove/reduce the intended function of the side marker light/reflector. Not saying the inspectors and/or the law enforcement in your area care, but why give them a valid reason to pull and maybe ticket you.

Hi everyone. I thought I'd join up as I've recently purchased a ranger in the uk. It's a 2016 (so I think 4g?) but I've not found a forum/section for that so thought I'd jump on here to see if it's still useful.
I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions as the rear camera doesnt work and I'm expecting to get stuck into some of the diy work as and when its needed.

Roger that. The Morimoto ones adhere to the letter of the law here in CO, they are reflective and the light is amber or white and can be seen from 500' away. While there is always some gray area with regard to ANY modified lighting on a vehicle, I think we're safe with these ones.
