Is there any disadvantage to a SuperCab?

Agreed, they are sportier looking...
I had an Uncle who loved his Caddy's, all of them (6 or so) were either Coupe DeVilles, Eldorados or convertibles, he absolutely refused to own a 4 door vehicle...

Other than space (cabin and bed), is there any disadvantage for the SuperCab? Aren't they all rated the same for everything other than trim level and the cab size? I will be towing eventually.

Before I make a 30K+ mistake, any help is appreciated. I don't need 4door. 2021 xlt

I would not want a super-cab because of the limited space in the rear seating area. Since it is just the wife and me, nobody rides back there anyway. Still, the larger space in the back of the super-crew plus the extra two doors make it easy for us to carry our assorted junk around, fill it up with groceries, store changes of shoes and clothing, and keep and access a well-stocked cooler, etc. It all depends on what you want to do with your truck...

The biggest disadvantage I have found owning a Supercab is , I can't take it anywhere without being mugged and bombarded with questions , it was cool at first but now it's getting a bit annoying ... even guys in crewcabs jump out and seemed surprised to see it , I get a lot of " I didn't even know I had a choice , all I saw were crewcabs " , now they all jelly ?... I refuse to put others comfort above my coolness (it's all I got left and it's fading fast...still got lots of hair though) looks like a walker will fit in the scab so I'm ?

I might be biased though...

Talking to one sales guy, he said his manager didn’t order any SuperCabs because, “with the 6’ bed, they’re a foot longer”. Bozo ?

When I was searching for mine, I was surprised at the lack of SuperCabs on dealer lots. I was a bit pissed that dealers seemed to only be ordering SuperCrews.

All I could think of was, “Never mind trying to lure in those frigging Taco and Frontier owners - what about us loyal Ranger owners who’ve been waiting patiently to get a new Ranger - that looks like, we’ll, a Ranger?” ?

They claim they don't sell enough but I argue they don't build enough to see if they would sell more , mine was 3 states away and the only one in a 600 mile radius at the time , yesterday I cruised through the dealer lot , I do about once a week , and saw a STX SCAB and a couple of crews , first scab I have ever seen there ... I didn't get out and look but I think it had 46 on the winshield with the big paint marker , not sure about the sticker ... I may stop again and get a pic...

I won't lie, I am pretty jelly. I am one of those guys that jump out...

I wonder if dealers took direction from Ford on what kind of mix they thought they should order. Ford might have anticipated certain demand and inventoried build materials accordingly.

It's the same with colors, the dealers seem to only stock black, grey and silver. When asked why they don't have other colors you get the same response, "because black, grey and silver sell the best".
