The last week I have been home, I've been running errands here and there for the boat project.
Lowes, Canadian Tire, Bass Pro....all to upgrade my trailer and get the boat ready to put back in the water this season.
Its been almost two years out of the water for obvious reasons, and the last time it was in, i blew a simple fuse that stranded me in the upper Niagara river driving towards the Falls.....oh yay.
So now that I got that figured out (it was a chafed wire) I felt the boat trailer needed updating.
Replaced the rollers with carpet slides, added 5' carpet guides, changed the lighting to LED and then needed a new battery since the other met an expected death after 10 years of age and 2 long winters with no charge.
Had it all running today, just needs a cleaning and grease up the wheel bearings and then hopefully in the coming days I can go try and run it up on the rocks or something equally daring.
Never a dull moment as I am sure the USBP will swing by to check my credentials in Canadian waters and accuse me of smuggling our legal weed across the river again. They hate when you chirp back and tell them it ain't smuggling until i hit your shores.
Your boat something like one of these ???

If they thought they could get away with setting up a check point in Grimsby, they would likely try.

Well I am on a roll. Today I hauled dirt, decorative rock, and plants for our house. So another "truck" day.
That's a good looking doggo. Hope he got a ride!

Went to the dump today (what else is new?) and one of the items was this 30 year old Truck Club!

And, even though I have a damper, I was still manly enough to get some buckets of sealcoat for the driveway. BUT ... I can tell the damper is starting to atrophy my arms because these buckets felt incredibly heavy! It was all I could do to get them up there and then to take them down and place them upside down in the garage (to help mix them).

Did a dump drop to the waste processing facility on the way to local town. Old batteries, trampoline and swing, although I reused the impregnated (or what's left from the ages old treatment) swing poles for horsie fence posts. Zero cost as it was mainly metal and hazardous waste and would have driven past it anyway.

As you digress in the weakening arms be sure and give your neighbors the heads up so they can help with all your future tailgate lifts! Several of my neighbors are standing by for me when I get there! :inspect:

That is great advice! Those bags of mulch won't unload themselves, I'll get those neighbors lined up and make sure a I have a couple of beers for them!

Hmm, it might be time to stick a beer fridge in the garage!=D
