HI all, I think the title says it all. I am researching trading in my new tires for larger ones and I'm wonder what do people do with their basically new tires that they are replacing. Do tire places trade them in for credit?

Thanks for any feedback.

I wonder if those tire places that sell used tires would buy them. I know I wouldn't make what they are worth but really anything is better then them sitting in my garage.

Best bet is Craigslist, FB Marketplace, etc. Expect to take a large hit. I have sold wheels and tires (mostly snow setups) several times after trading in vehicles. The most I have gotten ever was $300, usually less.

How quickly do they normally sell?

Hit or miss...some have been days, others a long long time :p
I have sold a lot of stuff on nextdoor and a few on facebook. If its priced low enough it will go quickly. But if you just want a fair price for it, it will sit for a long time. Maybe i should buy my tires on facebook lol. Seems like a place to get a steal!

I sold mine to a place that sells used tires. I could have gotten more selling them myself but didn't want to deal with the time, hassle, and storage. It was more about getting rid of them than making money back
That's what I think I'm going to do. I prefer ease over profit with some stress.

Tire places are thieves for the most part, if your a MAN they might give you a couple hundred credit or something.
I sold my 1000 mile stock tires to a buddy.
So did I. I gave him a h*ll of a deal!:like:
