Damper Removal

Now that Dave’s on vacation is it safe to remove the tailgate damper? Or will the check tailgate light still come on? I have to do it my garage so no one calls CPS on me.

That's a pretty big risk! Your arms will have atrophied by now. First time you open that tailgate without the damper, imagine what carnage could follow.

This is true. When I installed my damper, they showed up in ski masks, gave me a 90s pager, and said I’m on call now.
