i ordered mid February. Got my vin and build schedule a few weeks ago for last week of June.

scab only upgrades FX4, sliding window and tow package. S/S delete.
Thanks, I guess there is hope.

Learning that dealer allocation is a pretty big deal with this process, wish I had known that before hand.

Received the expected shipping delay email #5 and heard back from my dealer, who also expressed frustration.

Note about ASS and 302A comments: Starting the engine or warming the seats takes a substantial amount of electrical current, which is routed through a transistor acting as a switch. These types of transistors were known to be in short supply at least a year ago. LED headlights also use a number of high-current control devices. Even radios designed to be fancier and louder use more of these specialized chips. Also, electric vehicles are filled with these high-current devices so Ford may be diverting a large fraction of their supply to plug-in electric and hybrid production.

I expected the Lariat and other premium-trim models to receive preferential treatment when allocating the limited supply but here I am with a truck that is built and sitting 8 weeks waiting for a car carrier. The XLT 301A SCab I ordered in early January was built 15 weeks after order confirmation, which is relatively quick in this environment. Even ordering a "safe" configuration recommended by Ford is no guarantee there will not be a problem.

For those who think the sixth generation may follow the normal release schedule, parts shortages will make these trucks very rare their first year or two. A regular supply of 6G Rangers may not happen until 2025-2026.

I only have about another 24 hours with you fine gentleman....

Sales rep called me today (now he remembers my phone number...) to tell me that the Ranger is here. They're going to do PDI this afternoon/tonight and I pick it up first thing in the morning. Friend and I were already out and about so we swung past the dealership to take a look at it, still has mud and dirt on it from factory testing. He was making fun of me afterwards for (repeatedly) saying what a gorgeous vehicle it is.

Welp still no truck LOL

Dealership just called...got my hopes all up when I saw the number, they just wanted to let me know that the truck was still on its way but wanted to give me a courtesy call since it didn't show up on 5/25. They're expecting it to show up any day now. So kudos for them reaching out and me not having to contact them.

I guess I'll have to blame AZ for that comment he made earlier. Told him it would be the Mod curse
Sorry about that, I swear this stuff only happens to me. ? Maybe I just transferred my bad luck all over to you now? I'll keep my mouth shut for now on and hopefully you'll get it next week.:lipssealed: ?

Wonder if the time between order confirmation and VIN assignment/build date started really growing after February.

I got my order confirmation March 21, so 2 months and 6 days with no VIN/Build date. I wonder if that'll go to 3 months with no VIN/Build date.

I guess I could accept whatever build or delivery date but I'd prefer to know sooner than later. I need to time a canopy/topper purchase, and those are taking a couple months to 6 months I hear.

Nah you will see them in 2024 for sure if not 2023(late in the year). I am sure there will still be supply constraints and hence the Global Raptor 6G was delayed by a month.

Bummer! I was rooting for you to have it for this weekend. Maybe God's holding it back since there are so many crazy drivers out for the long weekend.

I sure hope your dealer's right and it does sound like you should be getting it any day now. =)

Thanks I was too but yeah there's a ton of bad drivers out there.
At least next week will be a short work week, even shorter if I take off a day or two.

I just happy they called me instead of me having to contact them which I will be doing if it hasn't showed by the end of next week LOL

That is nice that they called. Often they're as much in the dark as we are. It sounds like it's so close (makes it even tougher though). And a day off to drive it sounds like a solid plan!

I can't tell you guys how jealous I am of you who have VIN numbers.
Ordered 2/21 - delayed 4/7
No need to be jealous, even when they have them built they just set out there. Mines been sitting since 3/24/22
