  1. Eibach Pro Truck Stage 1 and Icon Multi-Rate Leaf. Preliminary Review

The shop didnā€™t say so, and both fronts measure the same, ground to wheel well. I have the stage 1, adjusts with clips and those adjustments are not incremental so I doubt thereā€™s a difference to accommodate weight of driver.
  2. 255/75 17 tires

There's more wiggle room than that with 255/75s, but I guess there's not with 33s.. it sure seems there's more than 1/2 inch all around in that wheel well, near shocks, etc. Then again, most rolling 33's were not ordering 255/80/17, a skinny 33. Folks seem to order 285/xx/17 to get to 33." Tire...
  3. 255/75 17 tires

Confirmed on stock FX4 suspension (Firestone Destination XT C Load). I've since lifted, but 255/75/17s fit fine stock. That's a true 32" tire, btw.
  4. Which Facebook Ranger Page Doesn't Suck?

I'm a member on a few of them, 99% of posts are pure vanity and aesthetics. I'm looking for outdoor activity, camping, offroad oriented focus. Suspension lifts, gear organization, maybe even towing/hauling, trip reports. Heck, even hunting, not that I'm a hunter but I'm more interested and would...
  5. DIY Canopy Shell Ceiling Net Storage Solution. Cheap, Easy.

Iā€™ve wanted a ceiling storage solution for jackets, shoes, etc. One option, sneaking in D rings to the Yakima roof tracks bottom nut connection, then connecting a cargo net. I had to remove one of these track bolts already for something else and I didnā€™t like ā€˜breaking the seal,ā€™ so to speak...
  6. Almost clipped a cyclist

I'll gripe about hazardous bicycling too, but per the video, any mishap here would've been the truck drivers fault. Bicyclist was 1)ahead of you, 2) clearing signaling in accordance with the law (hand signals), 3) not that he had to but the bicyclist was staring at you, attempting eye contact...
  7. Eibach Pro Truck Stage 1 and Icon Multi-Rate Leaf. Preliminary Review

Pre-lift photo here, this is the intended use. We were out for 10 days on this trip, different spot every night. My only other truck mods, if you can call them that, are Rhino Racks and Rooftop Box, then camp gear, fridge, jackery battery. Compressor, basic recovery gear. Havenā€™t felt the need...
  8. Eibach Pro Truck Stage 1 and Icon Multi-Rate Leaf. Preliminary Review

2022 Crew Cab FX4 XLT. The Eibach Stage 1 kit starts at 3ā€ front lift and accommodates 1ā€ rear lift, which I achieved with Icon leafs set at Option 2 (inch of lift with ~350 pounds). Purchased and installed by Khaotic 4x4 in Tacoma WA. Great customer experience. No UCAs required, per email from...
  9. Help me build out my GFC Ranger

Iā€™ve camped where super modded youtubers go in SE Oregon canyonlands with stock FX4 suspension and Firestone C Load Destination XT 255/75/17 (32ā€). Two Milwaukee Packout 2 drawer boxes stacked fit under my Snugtop canopy, milkcrates, plano boxes and an Iceco fridge and Jackery round it out for...
  10. (UPDATE from EIBACH) Lots of Wrong Info Here re: Eibach Stage 1?

Haha, 100% correct, 68% of the time. Iā€™m in no position to defend Eibach, however, I notice something that lends credence to their claim - they donā€™t sell kits that include UCAs. They sell UCAs, and theyā€™re not budget priced, but Eibach has no marketing or tech specs suggestive of needing UCAs...
  11. (UPDATE from EIBACH) Lots of Wrong Info Here re: Eibach Stage 1?

UPDATE. Eibach responded to my email inquiry, if the Pro Truck Stage 1 suspension kit needs aftermarket UCAs to accommodate the front 3" lift. I provided them all make/model details for my FX4. Their exact response, Typically at 3" of lift you are fine with the OE upper control arms. This...
  12. (UPDATE from EIBACH) Lots of Wrong Info Here re: Eibach Stage 1?

Fair point, my research - hours of it, lol - suggests Eibach are more forgiving in the stiffness category and are routinely described, by customers and retailers as 'between Fox and Bilstein' for on and offroad comfort. So, I'd prefer that, pretty sure. The other kicker, the offroad shop I'm...
  13. (UPDATE from EIBACH) Lots of Wrong Info Here re: Eibach Stage 1?

UPDATE 3.11.24. Eibach responded to my email inquiry, if the Pro Truck Stage 1 suspension kit needs aftermarket UCAs to accommodate the front 3" lift. Their exact response, Typically at 3" of lift you are fine with the OE upper control arms. This shouldn't matter with either the Stage 1 or...
  14. Driver's Seat Etenders for Long Legs

I wish I had an answer for you. Iā€™m 6ā€™ 4ā€ and comfortable with stock adjustments. Are you that much taller? Would you need more telescopic steering wheel adjustment too?
  15. Outside Magazine Ranger Project

@Wes Siler did any lane keeping, collision warning or other sensors misbehave or require attention, adjustment after your lift?
  16. Second Spare Wheel?

I'll try to answer the original question. I pondered fuel and water storage long and hard, arriving at a setup that I've used for a couple weeks worth of camping already. 'Super Crate' oversized milk crate - google that and you'll find what I'm talking about. Interior dimensions must be 13.75" x...
  17. 2021 Fog Lights Question

FX4 owner here, replaced with yellow LEDs. Sucked. I first attempted it without removing the skid or the air dam. Wasn't happening, lol. I do remember the 'position' I had to use to get my hand behind the fog assembly - feet pointed out the front of the truck, your head and torso in the middle...
  18. Any Kayaker's here?

No pics but went with Malone SeaWing (with Stinger) carriers . I already had Yakima J carriers for my old Subaru but with rails atop a canopy, its just too high and awkward to get even 11' recreational kayaks up on the J styles. I'm 6'4" so not a short person. Also, the truck top is too high for...
  19. 32s on 18 rim

Different rim, but its well established by me and others a 255/75/17 clears 100%, no rub. This is a true 32.ā€ If you find the equivalent size for 18ā€ rim youā€™re golden.
  20. Jackery RTT with Retractable Solar Panels - Whaddya Think?

On week+ camping trips with some driving every day or every other, my truck bed 12v power tops off my Jackery 1500. Jackery is used primarily to power an Iceco JP50 fridge. Battery never drops below 80%. I sometimes deploy a Jackery 100 watt panel, which provides more power in direct sun than...
