Maybe I just suck at life right now, but I CANNOT get these stupid dust covers to fit over the H11 low beam lights.I switched to the below bulbs that @mtbikernate recommended and i’m very satisfied with the results. Perfect fit with all dust caps and very white bright light on low beams and extremely bright on highs. Yellow fogs are great with heavy rain and road spray.

Make sure the bulbs are 100% seated correctlyMaybe I just suck at life right now, but I CANNOT get these stupid dust covers to fit over the H11 low beam lights.
As far as I can tell, the bulbs will only go in one way. I make sure that they seat identical to the OEM bulbs. Just cannot get that dust cover to seal all the way around, and the LED ones are leaving a gouge on the inside of the cover where they’re making contact.Make sure the bulbs are 100% seated correctly
-------------------------------Hi Dave,
Yeah...where is the fuse or self resetting circuit breaker in this equation? Do not have time now, but need to look at my wiring diagrams to see why it got to the point of burning up due to high current. Could it be heat related and current is within spec?

In my experience the 2 sided LEDs don't do as well in the reflector housing as the 3 sided versions . .Does anyone on here have any experience with these?

They claim to be 10,000 lumen for the set and a 1:1 fitment. Unfortunately they are not “clockable”.

Cheap bulbs give the raw lumens in other words not powered mathematically calculated electrical rating. Brands like diode dynamics give light meter actual at distance lumen rating. CRI ratings aren't discussed much but to me would be awesome if that was on the box. Also that wattage thing ya gotta watch too. Higher watts don't mean much without knowing at what voltage they got this high watt rating which amperage consumption also plays in i.e. ohms law.. wish so God damn many different versions and manufactures of LED bulbs the only way I can 100% compare in my own mind is looking at all the ratings that they give you there's always one in particular doesn't matter that they don't give you to determine what real output really is according to Ohm's law sometimes. Also I hate hate shopping on Amazon there's 5 million different brands I can hardly pronounce basically with same packaging it's the same exact looking product rebranded with hardly a description on there eBay isn't much better but it is because I can look where things coming from and where the sellers located that says a lot I wish there was an online purchasing place like Amazon or Ebay that was 100% American without letting the Chinese put the warehouses on the east or west coast and say us sold cuz that doesn't mean much to me I wanted to upgrade the LEDs and researched and rubbed and considered put in the cart taking out of my cart but my OCD and anxiety doesn't allow me to actually focus and pick one in particular but then again I'm that way when it comes to buying ink pens and other things Etc lolI did a little googling and found a site that said an H11 bulb is ~1200 lumens. That said, I wouldn't put too much faith in the accuracy of the lumen rating on aftermarket LED's. In my experience, you're going to need an LED that's rated at least 3x that (Amazon bulb rating) to see the road properly. The Morimoto bulbs I have on my Colorado are rated @ 2440 lumens and are just about perfect. I'm pretty sure that the Morimoto bulbs rating is accurate and that they aren't trying to jump on the inflated numbers bandwagon that you see on Amazon.
I never could get the set of 2 blade LED bulbs to work correctly in my '91 Ranger or the '07 F-150 . I ended up with the 3 blade sets in both and they did well . The 3 blade Leds produce a more 360 pattern of light like the halogen and are easier to get rotated in the reflector correctly IMO .Okay so I’m questioning either my judgement or the collective intelligence of this thread. I bought some car river low beams because they are dimmer (“10k lumen”) and adjustable. Swiveling around the fixture, I was figuring the 9 and 3 parroted here (blade vertical, leds on side facing 9/3) would be the best option, but it seems 12/6 is significantly better. Here’s a photo with left low at 9/3 and 12/6 on right. The huge hotspot above the cutoff is caused by the left.
Is this unusual? When people say 9/3 do they mean the blade faces 9/3 instead of the leds?
Effectively, following the instructions produce terrible scatter above the cutoff. Rotating 90 seems ideal.

Like you I tried the CarRover 10,000 lumen LEDs in my lows (today) and I also had terrible scattering. I didn’t really try adjusting them to the 3&9 position because I couldn’t get the dust covers back on regardless of how hard I tried. So I’m giving it a few months and I’m doing a complete headlamp replacement with either the Alpharex novas or the Morimotos. I’m tired of trying the drop in LEDs and them being a complete disappointment.Okay so I’m questioning either my judgement or the collective intelligence of this thread. Yeah. 3/4 of my dust covers closed no problem, but for some reason one did not clear the fan off the back fully so is 3/4 tabs locked in. Before settling on position i loosened the ring on the bulb and tried swiveling in all directions with the light on to test. 6/12 was the best for the lows.Like you I tried the CarRover 10,000 lumen LEDs in my lows (today) and I also had terrible scattering.
