$5.78 for an oil filter in December, today it was $12.10, WTF?
After checking out a number of You Tube videos and articles I started using NAPA (Wix) Platinum Oil Filters. I don't know the current price, but they periodically go on sale for a significant discount.

I might start doing my own oil changes. The dealership went way up on the filter and oil. The price gap between them and me doing opened up enough that it's worth doing it at home.

They also overfilled it just a bit but charged me extra for the additional oil it didn't need.... wasn't much at all - more the wtf behind doing that. Also taking two hours to do it when they were not busy.

They did do this nifty thing where I got a video of how everything is doing. At 7000 miles I'd hope the tires, brakes, etc are ok....

Off to rock auto to get some filters. I love that website and the kids weirdly like getting the magnets when they ship them. Didn't get one on the order with the Dodge brakes I did last weekend.

Saving $8 isn't worth the assault on my senses of going into Walmart, lol.
I hear you, the Walmart's here in Hawaii are no exceptions at all...lol

I like RockAuto and use them a bunch. But lately their shipping prices are crazy.
You ain't seen nothing till you see their shipping fees to the Fiftieth State bud...the price to live in Paradise!

That's hilarious.

Your truck takes 6.2 liters of oil so we put 7 liters in, 2 oil filters, 2 air filters, 5 new spark plugs, 6 new tires, and installed a sunroof controller for the sunroof you don't have... Yes, of course we charged for all of it, lol.

The Canucks that visit us here in Maine love to remind us how everything is free ?
Ya, most Canadians are brain dead lemmings, that can't figure out free doesn't actually mean free, and in most equates to crappy service.

There is a lot to love up here, but the ever increasing socialist mentality is brutal.

I actually spoke to a Conservative Canuck this morning at the Garden Equipment / Gun Store this morning. What an education on your firearms laws.

You had to go there, lol.

Did he talk about the handgun freeze, and import ban we are in the midst of? The MSW (Military Style Weapons) ban of 2020? I could go on for hours about the thievery and disgusting policies surrounding Canadian Firearm laws and the absolute lies they are built around.

I should find a new country, everything is more expensive up here. ;)
yes we in the USA are the beneficiaries of legislation such as the Inflation Reduction Act to fix things like increased prices of oil filters - along with $30 + trillion of national debt , try to match that , oh Canada !
