I really think you will be surprised at the ride, and drive of the new JL Jeeps, I was. And don't forget, check and adjust the psi in the tires. If it's to high the Jeep will drive like a rudderless ship. That I know from experience.Jim, With the heat here that's already high on my list to buy. I wasn't sure about doing to hardtop and sides but since you said it makes a big difference I'll most likely do those too. I'm going to try and drive it as much as possible between now and the time we leave. Maybe even take a day trip up to Flagstaff which is about a 2 hour drive. I couldn't stand that drive in my Tacoma so if I'm comfortable in the Jeep I should be good to go.
Better not be any ducks in my Jeep when it arrives!Ahhh haaa! The footprints on the sliders are from ChilJL. I told him to duck you while he was there taking pics for you.
What are you paying for the transport? Debating if I want to fly in and pick up my ranger from Granger ford(Iowa back to CA) is 1700 milesFinally heard from the transporter today. They've been delayed with the storms on the east coast but will be picking it up tomorrow and will be here Monday or Tuesday. I had one of the guys on the JL forum take some better pictures for me, he was there today picking his up
The new sliders I bought I had them directly shipped to the dealer. They were only charging me $65.00 for the instal and for that price it wasn't worth messing with them. Plus the neighbors kids wouldn't hear a bunch of new swear words echoing from my garage. ?

?From what I have heard....you will pay the delivery charge anyway. There is a Ford Dealer 2 miles from MAP.....it costs the same to deliver it there as across the Country. What are you paying for the transport? He's talking about 3rd party delivery. From what I have heard....you will pay the delivery charge anyway. There is a Ford Dealer 2 miles from MAP.....it costs the same to deliver it there as across the Country.
Well! The Eagle has landed! lol It's so much better in person than in the pictures and the sliders are perfect and work great as a step. Now I need to figure out how everything works because I'm so use to driving a Ford. Also need to clean it up later once the sun gets off the driveway. Not as dirty as I thought for being on an open carrier. Transporter was excellent to work with and kept in touch all the way here.

Looking pretty nice, I wish there were more 2 doors instead of the 4, that looks so much better than than all 4 door wranglers I see weekly. As for getting used to it, Chrysler's uconnect system is apparently leagues better than anyone else's infotainment system. What engine did you go with, I thought you mentioned it at one point but I cannot find it in this forum. The Eagle has landed! lol It's so much better in person than in the pictures and the sliders are perfect and work great as a step. I like the look of the 2dr also. We really don't have any need for a 4dr since I have my Ranger when we go out with others. I ended up getting the 2.0 turbo. I drove both and liked the turbo, plus I'm use to it with my Ranger.Looking pretty nice, I wish there were more 2 doors instead of the 4, that looks so much better than than all 4 door wranglers I see weekly.
