Yeah, but I'd have to look at my laptop for exactly what I changed. I took a bunch of screenshots just in case I wanted to change things back.

There's still a chime when first getting in the truck, but the door open chime and seatbelt chime bugged me the most.
Yeah I am driving around my property jumping in and out of the truck and the beeping never stops. I was thinking of getting one of those fake seatbelt buckles but forscan would be better.

Is there a source somewhere with descriptions of what some of these options are?

Like what is ASS and Bambi mode?

To save you, ASS is auto stop start. Luckily I wasn't in my normal smartASS mode today. For now. Bambi mode allows you to keep the fog lights on with the high beams

I have a note saying the chimes are in IPC module and I changed the “As built” numbers to;
Door Ajar
720-01-02 xx0x xxxx
Passenger seat belt
720-01-01 xxx xx4x xxxx
Driver belt
720-01-01 xxxx xx2x xxxx
Driver and passenger
720-01-01 xxxx xx0x xxxx

In the module you can disable
Chimes
Seatbelt driver
Key in ignition

I ended up doing all the above and the only chime I have is if the door is open while in gear.

Bambi mode allows you to keep the fog lights on with the high beams.
And my be illegal, like here in Va. I had aftermarket fogs on my F150 that were operated by a toggle switch. Dealer told me I had to disable them to pass inspection because having them on with the high beams was possible. Didn't matter because they sucked anyway. (on there when I bought it)

several years back auto experts - found people enjoy hearing an engine at certain times, like hard acceleration. instead of making mean engines that are semi loud to satisfy that they decided to get fake engine sounds and have them play over the audio systems in the automobiles in coordination with the computer to be "timed" correctly to throttle etc. what blew my mind was realizing several manufactures used the same approach on models that actually had a nice healthy sounding engine and instead of letting it breath a lil they went with the piped in or digital audio route. oddly enough number one modification to s550 mustangs is exhaust lol...
I was reading the BMW M5 had noise piped in because the cabin noise isolation was so effective, it was giving drivers a less engaging experience. They had a microphone under the hood, so you were listening to the real engine, but could turn it off. The speakers were in the headrest, too. I actually really like that approach.

better than fake engine sounds i guess but still kinda lame . the m5 is a sporty car it should have an audible engine for the driver experience vs not to overly isolated luxy just my view.

I'm hoping to tap into some of you Forescan pros out there for some ideas.. Over the past year, I have become fairly fluent with using the program and have really enjoyed many of the changes, particularly The Battery Saver Mod, Bambi Mod and the Tire/Speedo Recalc for my Larger tires, just to name a precious few.. Recently, I went back in and as I was making a few more "tweaks", I apparently got too greedy and inadvertently inflicted myself with a "Pre-Collision Assist Not Available" error that I cannot seem to clear. I found the code easy enough, which gives you multiple choices to select the following: 1) None 2) Disengage 3) Radar Assist 4) Camera Assist. I have tried writing all 4, but it will not remove the error, unless I clear it using the OK button from the steering wheel at each start up. I've also gone in and tried modifying the adaptive cruise control settings, since I know this could be tied to it, but still no luck what-so-ever. In the past, I've discovered, that by disengaging, then re-engaging selections that this oft times resets the item you're attempting to reprogram. - Made that mistake changing the rear camera from analog to digital, but even that maneuver has been fruitless.

That all being said, if anyone out there has encountered something similar or has any fresh ideas, I'd love to hear from you.

Only thing I can think is to clear the area in front of the radar in the grill, or in front the camera on the windshield... I forget which that uses. Once when I was driving in wet snow my radar would get covered up and I'd get a warning about something not being available... I forget now what it was.

Look in the "Sticky WiKi" Thread: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/forscan-crowdsourced-wiki.2008/

I took the entire table, dumped it into excel, then highlighted the stuff I wanted and made a new column for 'Action' to show previous settings and/or changes I made.

Since I didn't do many changes, it was easier for me to keep this list than to make backups of all the as built modules.

Thanks Tom,

If there was a way to have done an excel of all of the defaults in the beginning, that would have been the winning ticket for me, then I could have had an extra tab of the changes.

I know I don't have anything blocking it. The error came immediately after making several bulk changes. I made the heinous mistake of not doing them one at a time, then noting them. Chances are, its a combination of things which will take a good bit of time poking around to find. Unfortunately, it's just not clear what the cause is.

I wouldn't think anything in forscan would change that pre-collision, but I honestly have no idea.

But, there is a way to find/download all the as-built stuff for your VIN. I can't point you to it, but hopefully someone will. You can download exactly how your truck was built and put everything back to stock.

I believe we may be on to something. The As-Builts would have the original defaults. - Of course, if I roll it all back (assuming I could even do that), I would just have to redo all of my previous updates again. Might actually be less of a pain to do it that way, quite honestly, than hunt and peck.

On a completely different side note; I accidentally discovered that the Factory settings were incorrect for the stock tires. Anyone out there with a Lariat having the Hankook 265/60/18 will likely have 2356mm as the stock values. This is actually for the 17" rim and not the 18" rim, so your speedo and MPG reading would slightly be skewed.
