AUXBEAM switch panel installed

Install was pretty straightforward and the result looks great. Only tough part was getting through the boot of the firewall.

how did you mount the panel? I have the 8 switch panel. My fuse block looks way different though.

No, mine is Auxbeam, but it appears to be the older style.

It's not an enclosed connection point. I am working on a solution to make this more water resistant.

What fuse did you tap for accessory power to turn on the unit? Hoping mine arrives tomorrow. Is inside the truck or in the engine bay?

Engine bay fuse. It’s the Electronic power steering fuse.

I mounted mine the same, but used the yellow wire to the marker light on the drivers side.

Can you post a picture of how you made this work? Any time I tried to use a fuse tap, I couldn't get the lid back on. Maybe I missed something.

Here ya go. In the yellow circle you can see where the 16 gauge wire sneaks through the seal. It does get pinched but it’s not being damaged and the fuse lid closes.

also, you need to use a micro2 fuse tap. The one included in the kit will not work since our trucks use Micro2 and Micro3 fuses.

@McLeadslinger Thank you for the little hints that made this install easy and 1 or 2 less trips to the parts store, only made one and that was for the micro add-a-fuse on the way home.

I wired up the left and rights separate, I don’t have a use for 6 outlets yet. When oncoming traffic comes I can switch off the left only and keep the right burning. The most difficult part was drilling the outboard hole for the switch box, odd angle and hard to keep the bit from walking.

Hopefully Tuesday I’ll be able to finish up my lighting project, @Hotshot-Colton said the balance of my order should arrive!!
