The Bronco Sport and Maverick had smooth, virtually problem free launches.

The newest Explorer's, Bronco's, and Mustang Mach E's launches were a shit show in comparison.

My FiST was built in Mexico. Initial quality was better than any other new Ford I've bought. My Ranger included.
On the US side, add the 2020 Escape/Corsair that had a relatively smooth launch recently. I was working for a tier 1 supplier for that program at the time and was in the plant a lot for the launch. Not a whole lot of drama going on there like there was for the Explorer at the same time.

My 15 VW GTI I had before the ranger was one of the first to be built in Mexico instead of Germany. Assembly wise, not a single thing wrong with it.

I did forget that one for sure.

I'm all for keeping jobs here, but in this day and age we're not going to get back to that.

I'd rather see "hecho en Mexico" than "made in China."

I had a go-kart once. It was a lot of fun. But I've moved on to real cars and trucks now.

The only thing I question is the first line of the article. How can they write that the Bronco launch went very well?
They must be referring to the media lunch…not the actual production of ?

My first ex-wife had one of those in a puke-green color when we were in high school. I forget what happened to it, but she had graduated to a Toyota Corolla by the time we were married. It wasn't a bad car, as I remember. Basic transportation.

Mine liked to randomly lock up the rear brakes first during hard braking and snap spin me.
Unexpected bootleg turns can be too exciting.

Husband & I went to look at a Maverick at a dealership in a nearby town. There were 3 different sets of people looking at it. Had just come in. One couple was trying to work out a deal.
It was very nice. I think husband has decided to get a Ranger though. The Maverick had a $2000 dealer markup

The Bronco had a $15,000 markup.

I wonder what kind of pricing for those Mavericks? They are not for me but should sell great. Assembled in Mexico too besides lots of parts from down there.
Saw one the other day at my dealer.. fully loaded for 44k CAD.. I think I'll keep my ranger!:LOL:
