FWIW, Chrysler in the early 80s to early 90s was doing the same thing, shoving a turbo into every vehicle they sold except trucks. By 1990 they had sold more turbo charged vehicles than all other manufacturers combined. The buying public hadn't bought into it and the moved to v6s like everyone else.

But had they not done that we would've never seen DSM or the 4G63.

I'd get down on a clean Colt or Mirage to play with.

One thing Dodge does well, I think and that is design. They did an awesome job on the design of the challenger and charger - they both echoed the originals really well I thought while giving them a mean, aggressive look.

My brother in law just got a Plaid. There is nothing more frightening than hitting 100 in dead silence before you even get off the on ramp. Maybe I'm getting old, but its just too much power for an on-road vehicle. Would like to see the manufacturers focus on kWh rather than 0-60 times. But the technology they are putting into these vehicles is truly impressive. My hats off to Tesla for bringing new vehicle technology to the mainstream.

The Charger is an absolute grand slam for Dodge. While Ford and GM gave up on full size sedans years ago and are bailing on compact and mid size sedans now Dodge keeps selling Chargers.

I’d buy a Tesla model S Plaid in a heart beat. For the money nothing touches it performance wise. 8.90 in the 1/4 mile bone stock and it’s a 4 door!!

The Charger looked terrible when it first came out but the newer ones look pretty mean. Sometimes I think I'd even pick it over the Challenger with how good it looks.

I was talking to a cop about them though and he said they don't like them cause the front ends fall apart. Said the Explorer is the better cruiser.

the only real amazing thin is 500 mile range.
but that is just battery pack style differences.

seriously a full charge and a full tank of gas and an EV will out muscle nearly every muscle car.

I've seen a push in advertising for "plug in electric". I guess they realize a lot of people live in apartments and condos where you can't have a rapid charge station. Some urban areas rely on street parking. The plug in hybrid kinda fits those markets where you can maybe charge it at a station or work an not have to worry about home charging it. I go visit my brother an he lives about the max distance or slightly more away so I can't make it on a single charge. The plug in helps in these situations too.
