Neither one of these mods were "easy". The silly Ford "intrusion bars" had to come completely out - why these are on the Rangers and not the Raptors I haven't figured out.

Cutting them out wasn't fun - but with a combo of a sawzall and 6" grinder, I got them off in a couple of hours. Should be plenty of room now for bigger tires once I wear the stockers out.

The 2" level kit I got from Ranger Lift Kits - but I can tell you his "how too" video didn't help much. I basically had to pull the entire front end apart (see pic) to get them out / in. Which if I would have planned on that going in, would have been a little easier - the first side took me 2 and a half hours - but once I had it all figured out, the second side took about an hour. Luckily I have a buddy with a lift and a 6' long pry bar - which was still needed with everything taken apart.

The other pain, is that no one wants to do the alignment, due to the lane assist / adaptive cruise control on the Tremor - apparently, after an alignment, they should recalibrate those sensors / settings. Went to 3 shops, and none of them would touch it. All of them said "take it to Ford". My friendly Ford dealership is over a month out for an alignment. I found an independent shop that can do it, so I'll be getting that done in the next couple of days hopefully.

Overall really happy with the trucks stance / look now. But man, never put spacers on a vehicle (and I do it to anything I've driven in the last decade) and had to do a bunch of cutting / cussing to make it work.

How's it handle now? I would imagine the spacers would change road characteristics some.

No, you wouldn't "feel" spacers - Handles just like before. I do notice the 2" level some, just kinda how it "looks" out the windshield when driving.

Good job releasing the CV and the anti-sway bar linkage. You went a bit too far when you released the lower ball joint - that doesn’t need to be done to perform this task. If it was intact, you could have used the knuckle as leverage to force the LCA down to R&R the strut.

In the end, whatever works, works. ?

Truck looks great levelled btw!

Had the exact same issue with my install, almost exactly down to the same times too ?

the crash bars will come out eventually. I did add 1” Eibach rear block as well to kee a little rake for towingthe quads around. Good looking ride, man! Post a straight on shot to see the stance with the spacers when you get time! This is mine afterwards.

Is it an optical illusion or do the front wheel/tires sit wider than the rear? Makes me wonder if I should do 1.25" front wheel spacer and 1.5" rear.

These Tremors look nice with this stance....meaning with the factory wheels and such.

I did not have to re-calibrate the windshield sensor as my lane assist still operates as before the 2.5" level kit but did definitely re-aim the headlights and adjust the radar for the adaptive cruise/emergency braking . Adjusting the radar in the bumper is easy as there is a hexhead bolt with a dab of green paint on the left side for adjustment . Mine took 2 complete turns to get working correctly after the level kit . I may need to tweak it some after getting taller tires yesterday .

Wouldn't a spring compressor have aliviated the need to tear it down that far. I plan on doing the same lift in a couple days. Looks good regardless.

I did the fox 2.0 lift on my ranger . Watched a YouTube video on bds 3.5" lift where a guy disconnects the antiswaybar and takes the 2 bolts out of lower control arm and drops the strut out the bottom. Worked great and I think it is the easiest way.

The spaces pushed the top of the tires out some, now that it's aligned, they sit pretty much the same. Hard to get a shot that shows it well, but they look dead on now - 1.5" spacers front and rear.

Aren't those bolts used to align the front end? If you leave them in and remove the CV instead then you don't need another alignment?

I installed a level kit up front, and did not need to adjust the radar in the bumper - at least, I don't think I need to. Everything seems to be working fine. How did you know you needed to adjust it? Were there symptoms? How did you know you got it adjusted correctly?

Someone above asked for a side view of a truck with spacers. I have 1.25" Bora spacers installed, with factory tires and wheels. Here are a few pictures and short videos that show the stance, from front and rear.

I had gotten use to the distance between my truck and the vehicle it detected in front before it started braking for the adaptive cruise control and noticed immediately that it was braking way earlier. I keep the sensitivity for the distance set at max and it was still detecting a vehicle ahead way too soon and slowing down even when I set the sensitivity to the lowest setting .

Wouldn’t you need an alignment anyhow?
