I live in the desert, all I got is rocks and dirt around me. If I was in a wetter area I would have thrown some extra drainage in. If I do get any water in there it's just going to roll out the back when you hit the throttle, it's not boxed in.
Where the gas tank is located on these trucks the likelihood of hitting the tank is low. The tank is above the frame rails, you'll most likely smack the frame first. Do you need to go spending your hard earned money on one, probably not.
I did it because, I had the materials laying around, I...
Since there are none out there on the market I just made my own.
I had a large sheet of .120 diamond plate laying around, a miller spool gun for aluminum not doing anything lately and a week off from work (staycation).
Took a couple days and used my plastic skid plate as the template.
Thanks for the response, I have the sealed roush intake. I also have a mountune intercooler coming with silicone charge hoses, hope that helps a bit. It was 108* ambient today and my intake temps topped 165*. It's gonna be 115* this weekend ambient. Like sitting on the sun.
My question has nothing to do with water fording. I fully understand the limitations of modern vehicle electronics and water. I have owned vehicles that were capable of fording water and have gone swimming a few times in older jeeps. Please move along if your here to cry about the alternator...
I abandoned the idea. Couldn't find enough info to make it work properly. My issue is I have a lariat with BnO system. Too much would be lost. If I had an xl or xlt I would have moved forward.
Ive been running the SPD axle dump exhaust for a year. Never had any problems with exhaust glasses and I've sat idling in parking lots for 30+ mins quite a few times.
I removed my rearview mirror and replaced it with a dash cam set up that I modified. Worked pretty good but took a little hackery to make it look like it somewhat belonged in the cab interior.
I've never gotten better than 17 average stock. Right now I'm 14.5 average, after bigger tires and such.. My commute is 24 miles round trip every day. Half freeway half city. I can see when I'm on the freeway it has potential to get over 20 mpg but the moment I hit city traffic it tanks. No...
8500miles on a 2021 tremor leveled with 265/70/17
I've never seen over 16 mpg avg on a tank of gas. I can see that it has the capability of doing better when I hit the freeway, but that's a small fraction of my daily driving. I tried 87 octane and 91 which is the highest I can get in Vegas. No...
Hey everyone I wanted to give an update on this thread the reason why I created it and the end conclusion I had today.
It was created because I thought after I installed my 2" level lift on my tremor I "might" be binding the upper ball joint causing an audible popping sound coming from the...
