285 70 17 Wildpeaks are on!!!

I have Nitto Trail Grappers in the same size on mine. They look and fit great. No mods to the rear end. No spacers or anything. No rub. I have a 2.5" leveling kit and after market ADD front bumper which required the crash bars to be removed.

Safety council kiss my back side. We are all adults here and know what we are doing when we mod our Rangers. We don't need the internet police telling us how dangerous it is. I get it. It ain't factory. I may get dead but oh well. Poop happens. I don't live in fear of doing fun dangerous stuff and fully accept the consequences of my actions.
I also do a lot of dangerous shit for the thrill and excitement.

No one here wants to hear your call to safety. I suggest you just block this thread and the op and myself and you won't have to see such life threating behavior in the future.

make sure you place a disclaimer sticker in the passenger seats so your passengers know their safety has been compromised.

Yeah, I kinda wonder about owner's liability. With altered or missing crash protection, would a passenger's sprained ankle become a crushed foot because the crash bars were missing, allowing the larger circumference wheels to intrude farther into the wheel well?
At my age, going from having a favorite band to having a favorite chair, I think more along those lines nowadays.

This is my second set I’ve bought of these Wildpeaks in so many weeks. My first it was 33 11.50 15s ‘s for my 87 square body. I’ve mentioned this before but they average road balanced out to an 18 number, anything under 40 is considered exceptional. These P series 17 inch ones for the Ranger averaged out to a 10 road force number! so they are super true and high-quality.

The P series ride so smooth. I have had great luck with them on previous trucks

These are NOT the same thing as seat belts. Not the same as Airbags. Not the same thing as crumple zones. They are literally like 9” long and just hang out like a bicycle pegs. Until I see a crash test with vs without them showing they prevent wheel intrusion into the floor pan (only benefit of any I can see at all) my opinion remains the same.

Ford is NOT going to put itself in ANY kind of unnecessary liability situation especially with such a high profile vehicle like the Bronco. If crash bars were SO important Ford would have bolted modified bars on the Squach. Did they do that? No

This got way off topic. Thanks for the post. Setup looks awesome and I appreciate the clarity on what was removed and wheel spacers. I think that was the point.

Yes I completely removed the front crash bars and heavily modified the rear crash bars; so what, my other vehicle is an 87 GMC truck with no airbags and only one working seatbelt so obviously safety is not my top priority.

Yes a tire of this size will also fit in the spare location.

Yes I have faction Fab 1.5 spacers from our good friends at Stage 3 motorsports on as well.

No, at least on my truck, you do not have to do anything with the TPMS system, it resets itself.

I love my Wildpeaks! Enjoy yours! (However, safety is my top priority, and so I stayed with the stock size--and left the crash bars intact....)

Also I think it is very telling that a post that most saw as “check out my new tires I am excited about” was read by you as “who wants to argue with me about crash bars”. I just read again and I don’t see anything that says he was looking for a debate.

I have the wild peaks (265/70/17) and I am wondering if anyone has had this issue. I have 2.5 leveling kit and the tires have worn consistently on the outside. I have rotated every 10K, done one additional alignment and the same shop showed me that the camber was maxed out but within spec and should be ok. regardless, I am going to have the tires flipped on the rims because there is still substantial meat on them and can get another year of life.

Adam, those look great. Do you notice any increase in noise or the ride comfort?

I have them too- with the radio off completely and windows closed there is a marginal increase in road-noise to the stock duelers. I'd describe it as slightly louder than stock BUT completely unobtrusive.

How many miles do you have on them? Once a tire begins to wear unevenly, it will continue to wear in that pattern the rest of its life even after the corrective action has been taken.

Well then that makes sense. I do mostly highway, so the AT's are pretty much just for looks and Snow here in the northeast.

I was being tongue in cheek with my snip you are enjoying throwing around. My GMC actually has 2 working seatbelts, one just does not always retract like it should, I need to fix that. I do care about safety concerns... Real safety concerns. Crash bars are not a real concern until You can produce that data you have claimed in the past is SO important when discussing Ranger topics. So man up! (funny coming from you) and post it up..

For the record, I have aftermarket crash bars so definitely not picking on the OP. Someone in another thread posted crash videos of an F150 before and after they added crash bars (can't remember the year). There appeared to be a marginal difference in foot well intrusion.

HOWEVER! With wheels that are pushed out of the wheel well further than stock as OP (and I) has, all bets are off on how much those crash bars are going to help. Even Ford only tests the vehicles as-shipped. Every mod could be construed as a threat to safety if you really want to split hairs. That tailgate damper could fly off and impale someone, right?
