They are a simple cheap quality of life upgrade now when you need to get something out of your case is whether you're on an incline or otherwise you don't have to sit there and fumble with a floppy lid with it shutting etc etc

To make up for the damaged light, I installed a Bakflip MX4 yesterday. BIg step up from the Truxedo rolling soft cover I had on my F150. It could still use a few tweaks (I installed it by myself, way easier with 2 people), but overall I'm very happy with it.

Waiting on Lux 8pc rock light kit. Ordered Aug 31, shipped Sept 1, arrived in Canada Sept 5, radio silence until today. Stuck in customs until yesterday. See how long it takes these to make it from Toronto to Edmonton.

The update came just in time. I almost ordered Diode Dynamics SS3 Max Combo to tide me over.

The Lux lights were delivered this afternoon! 4 lights with 20’ leads, and 4 with 10’ leads. I already made a harness and pigtailed leads to the approximate location for each light. Looks like I am going to have about 110+ feet of extra wire.

Time to order up the solder seal connectors and get this job banged out.

I’m also changing up what the factory Tremor switches do. I want to pick my own order, not to be tied to what switch has what rating…. I plan to cut the inputs at the relay box under the hood and then choose my own order. It would have been nice for this to have already been this way. Not sure if I want rock lights on switch 4, 5, or 6. I also don’t want to waste a 20 amp circuit on the rock lights…. Time to play elecchicken!

Something funky is going on over at Ford Performance.

It turns out to be all the kits in our warehouse are missing the same bracket.

We have one person who job it is to get to the bottom of this.

It's been pretty frustrating. Levittown Ford has now passed the buck completely to Ford Performance, but nobody has reached out to me. I have no outlook for when I might get a replacement, and I still have a big box sitting at my front door waiting for Fedex to pick it up. There's also no mention of the damaged threads, and I wasn't given contact info for anybody at Ford Performance. I thought I would avoid all of this headache by getting an actual Ford Performance part instead of aftermarket lights. It's been weeks since I notified them off the issue.

Edit 10/11: I got new brackets from Ford Performance today. I still have a broken light with stripped threads. Not impressed at all.

Edit 2: Got the brackets, but they did not include the u-clip needed to mount the hood bracket and the light bracket together. The stripped threads are NOT the holes needed to mount the light bracket, so I'm going to accept the damaged lights and ask for some money back. But I'm still stuck and can't install these lights.
