   Thanks. Your not too far off with that. But "office" is probably not the right term as I am retired. Office sounds way too much like work. ;) My first project after I retired was to remodel the garage. I can stuff two cars in there and even the Ranger can be one of them. Plus there is room for lots of "clutter"
Gregg, I fixed your pic for you, in case the Ranger ever gets a 10-spd manual trans!

Added Start-X. super easy. $90 (chose like-new off amazon warehouse). Mounted under the steering wheel and it's out of sight. Looks like to program it must be cloning ignition signal. Didn't need two keys to program a 3rd.

Ok...I don't understand this.
Why do you guys need a computer in the truck?
I know I'm missing something incredibly obvious, but I'm just not getting it.
Thanks for indulging me.
Just forscan. My laptops are macbooks, and i don't feel like futzing with my bootloader to add windows again (running debian on them as well). Laptop will be used on the car for a few minutes, then never again.

Getting ready for the glamping trip down to Tierra del Fuego....

Also kicked a sawhorse over and put a scratch down low on the driver's door. Good thing it's a truck for doing truck shit and not just a pavement princess. Can join the rock dent in the hood and pinstriping down the sides.

These are the smoked chrome/black emblems from Ford. Now I need to find another project to spend my money

Looks nice! Is that the part no. you'd get with the Black Appearance Package? I had asked for these when I ordered my truck but the dealer decided to have the stock ones wrapped in gloss black to save me money. The only part of the experience I wasn't pleased with. Is it very difficult to swap them out?

Tbh I'm not entirely sure. I don't have the black appearance package but I saw these on Ford's Accessories website. They come as a set for $129.99 + tax.

The back is super easy to replace. Pop out the blue bezel with a small flathead above camera, unbolt the two 7mm, unplug camera and bracket supporting it. The front however was a major pia for me. I couldn't find an easy way to access the two 10mm bolts. Ended up basically removing the entire grill and reassembling. If you take your time, it'll be no problem.

Thanks, that helps for sure!

Well my overall goal is self containment, including sizable solar banks.

Midget porn is already hard enough to see on a small phone screen, so I need a bigger screen.

I didn't need one for the truck, I just needed one that will connect to my truck. My other laptop is till functional for what I do with it, but old and weak. It dies if unplugged, and slow to reboot. When I tried to connect with the truck I got frustrated it was taking too long, and I had an appointment to go to, so I didn't finish. If not for the Ranger I would keep using my Dell until it fails, then be in a panic to get a new one while I suffer withdrawl. I decided to get one 'for the Ranger' but it will be my new house lappy as soon as the FORscan stuff is done.

Terry, I'm no mechanic but I don't think it's going to run all that well now.

When it comes back together in the next few days, it will be sporting Coolan8ors, and it'll be Staying Frosty under WOT up hill?

Mishimoto's intercooler and radiator are replacing oem here. It's tasking me not to use a ballpeen fitting device, but...? being retired, it's not a hurry up, but it is a do it right (with minimal destruction ?)

This thread is where I started out earlier in week coolan8ors
