Something that I discovered a few months into owning my Ranger. I was always messing with what vents the air comes out, fan speed, all the climate control settings and wasn't super happy.
That all changed when I left it in Auto and set a temp and left it. The auto will handle the vents, the fan speed, and run it when needed. Then all you have to do is hit the AC button when its hot. Everything seems to work much better now and I would recommend you just leave it in Auto.
I will try this as last resort. Thanks

So, I'm not the only one. When the footwell AC turns on, the top main vents reduce the output drastically. But the reduced amount is not felt in the footwell. It is definitely blocked, I feel.
Same with mine. Even with the blower on hi I feel almost nothing out of any of the vents if I turn on both the floor and dash.

This is exactly how I've used the A/C in every vehicle I've owned for over a decade.

I've never had my feet get hot.

I have tried all the different settings & the air flow is BARELY noticeable in the footwell.
The floor duct is waaayyy up there almost behind the pedals.

That hasn't been my experience - especially in 90 degree plus weather, have to override auto and turn the fan setting up higher in order to maintain a comfortable temp, at 1st I thought it was a weak AC system but running the fan at higher speed than auto sets it at it works just fine. Of course with these ACC systems there can be a lot of variables.

With my 19 XL STX I have manual HVAC so I always adjust the temp. & fan speed to suit my needs. Air flow in the floor position is stronger on the passenger side than the drivers side, but as one mentioned the drivers side vent is way up front. Also I have not investigated to see if there is any solution for stronger air flow on the drivers side as I do not seem to have an issue with it. In the winter I have had no problem with keeping warm. In the summer A/C usually dash vents only running on outside air no problem keeping cool. One practice I have tried to use is when turning on either A/C or heat, turn on & select low fan speed, select air flow location & wait a second to let air blend door change, the turn up fan speed as needed. Just a theory if the blend door is to lite to over come the strong air flow. Just my 2 cent's worth & personal practice.

Had some spare time so I investigated the air flow a little more closely. My conclusion is the air flow on the drivers side foot well is close to the same as the passenger side, just that the vent as stated is way up toward the firewall behind the brake pedal. but the air flow is sufficient.

Is this confirmed pretty much normal? A few months ago I did hear some clicking. But didn't notice any issues (not blend door, Temps still feel fine). But now I did notice the very weak foot well air flow.

If you extend your feet all the way, you will feel the air flow. But, not at the natural driving position, when you increase the air flow. But it's get warm after awhile, so I have got used to it.
