The rear seat latch was one of my problems and I saw that the passenger side rubber had a crease in ir and I finally put my 210lb behind it and slammed it and it closed.***2/5/2019 Update*** No Resolution with Unhelpful Dealer
BTW I would have said I would’ve been the first but my problems were to use more elbow grease and preference problem!
If anybody else has this problem, when latching back the top rear seat in crew cab, you really need to put some weight into it or it doesn’t latch, pretty much like slamming it! I hope that the latch eventually loosens up a bit so that I don’t continue slamming the seat!
I also noticed that the rear passenger door on driver side wasn’t flushed to the body, sticking out a bit on the bottom, the other side is flush to the body! When I asked the head mechanic and fleet manager they said that that’s just how it’s goung to be! We looked at 2 other rangers that day and both had that flaw! Anyone else notice these problems??
It’s unfortunate that after you purchase a vehicle, shelled out a ton of money and/or signed on the dotted line, you eventually don’t get the great treatment that you had prior to making that commitment. Dealers suck!!!The rear seat latch was one of my problems and I saw that the passenger side rubber had a crease in ir and I finally put my 210lb behind it and slammed it and it closed.
I understand what you mean by the Unhelpful dealer. They have no experience with this and they are selling these Rangers as fast as they arrive so they just don’t care. The service manager told me that the missing ring that holds the ignition has not been reported as a problem with anyone else so it must be my problem along. HAHA! Wrong, they have not had this problem cause the other Rangers they sold were Lariats so they are push button. And therefore don’t have people using the key.
They are cocky with sales of Rangers and don’t care. They only care about the money they are making.![]()
My rear drivers-side door also is not flush. Dealer sent pictures to Ford and I have an appointment to bring it in next week.***2/5/2019 Update*** No Resolution with Unhelpful Dealer

I wonder if this is all that needs to be done by the dealership service dept, but I'm not sure because the gap on mine is only the lower right bottom corner part of door.Tomorrow will be one month I've owned my 2021 Ranger. I noticed this afternoon that my driver's side rear door bottom right side does not sit flush. The passenger fine is flush and tight. I opened the door all the way and looked for anything that could be interfering but I don't see anything. I then came in and jumped on this forum to search "side door not flush" and found this thread. I wonder what the resolve would be. I've never owned a vehicle where doors did not sit flush and I've always owned Fords or Mercurys.

I sure will file a complaint now that you mention it. I will be sure to give the vehicle VIN.Hi Val,
I am very disappointed by the final inspection of Rangers at the assembly plant. Something like this should have been caught and the vehicle sent to the repair bays for adjustment.. It is difficult with Covid but not an excuse to ship maladjusted doors. I recommend having the dealer body shop do the work.... I also think you might like to file a formal complaint with Ford Customer Care...more complaints received can put the plant manager on the hot seat to improve delivery quality.

my truck is a 2019 with 23,000 miles.
