Ok, so has the OP’s truck been modified by the dealer or a previous owner? It doesn’t look factory to me.
Maybe the talk of plasti-dip definitely implies some kind of post factory modification.
Confused minds want to know.
By having the OP bring up this topic on a Ranger forum, my impression is that the OP wants feedback and advice, good or bad. In other words, the OP wants it to be “everybody’s business”, at least until the OP takes a final action on the RL vs Ranger issue.
Congratulations on the delivery and purchase of such a fine looking vehicle. FWIW, you and I ordered our 2020 Rangers the same day (August 20, 2019). I picked mine up December 20. I’m not telling you this to rub it in, but rather to make it clear how glad I am that you finally received yours...
For those of you with 2019 Rangers -
Does your front passenger side carpets have the nipples to accept the snaps for a floor liner?
The reason I ask is that many of the pictures in this thread of the Ford OEM and the WeatherTech front passenger side floor liners show the corresponding snaps...
My 2020 Lariat (4x2, Saber, Sport, Tow, E-Locker) was delivered to my local dealer at 6:30 PM on Wednesday the 18th (5 days earlier than estimated) and I picked it up Friday afternoon. The dealer agreed to order the two missing tie-downs free of charge and, when home, I installed WeatherTech...
Although I would categorize this movie as “historical fiction” (similar to the 1990s movie “Gettysburg”), it was very well done and it is very enjoyable.
Effective today, my Ranger is in transit with an estimated dealer delivery date moved up three days to Dec 23, 2019.
@Pioneer74 - Would you be willing to check the rail car reporting mark and number, and the railroad company doing the pulling? If so, thank you ahead of time for your kind...
My “In Production” date is 12-4-19 which does match the electronic window sticker’s blend date.
Late last night a “Dealer Delivery” date of Est. 12-29-19 appeared. I just checked again and the date has changed to Est. 12-26-19.
Edit: The “Awaiting Shipment” bullet has been “triggered”. I...
I also have a window sticker. Date at the bottom is 11-23-19 so it must have just been generated. Blend date is 12-4-19. I’m so excited!
Edit: The special order date is 11-22-19.
Likewise, my salesman, who I’ve done business with since 2007, just texted me with a VIN ending in LLA04777. He also said my build should occur the first week of December. I find the latter info difficult to believe considering @rangerdanger’s source indicated retail orders will not be...
Sorry for the late response Robert.
No, in my “advanced age” I’ve come to take a sales associate’s word with a grain of salt. This is just my personal estimate based on my planning and what I’ve learned on this site since joining this past January.
I do think deliveries will be a bit more...
Better check your facts CDVega. Don’t be confused between Q2 and YTD. The trend going forward appears to favor Ranger and I don’t think Ford is trying very hard.
Thanks DannyL.
I thought about the FX2 package but decided against it, only because I have no need for the off-road suspension modifications and off-road tires.
My truck will be strictly a street-highway queen that will occasionally haul or tow materials for house or yard.
If anyone thinks...
Just ordered a 2020 4x2 Lariat SuperCrew, 501A, Saber, Sport, E Lock Rear Diff, Trailer Tow, Stone/Black Interior, Priority Code 19
Base 4x2 SuperCrew went from $34,565 to $34,675 MSRP.
501A went from $1795 to $2005 MSRP. Looks like Ford felt demand for the 501A package was strong enough to...

I don’t know if there is any “value” in the Saber exterior color, but if you want that color you must have the Sport Appearance Package. Based on pictures I have seen and the comments on this forum from people who have seen the color in person, I doubt Saber would be an extra cost option if it...
@Arron
Tell us a bit more about your truck. Any mods? Are you using a tonneau cover? Have you installed some kind of super breakthrough device purchased off an infomercial?
I’m going to order a 4x2 MY20 SuperCrew Lariat 501a Saber Sport with a desired circa March 1dealer delivery date. Disappointed Hot Pepper Red is going away but hopeful a power sliding rear window is added.
I hate to say it to all those 2.7 EB hopefuls out there but I see no chance of that...
Race Red is not an extra cost color for the F-150 so I doubt it will be for the Ranger either. Likewise, Race Red is available on the 2019 F-150 XL so I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t be available for the 2020 Ranger XL also.
Rapid (Lucid) Red Metallic will be an extra cost color.
